Oh I don't believe at all that karmic means r/s is doomed! Karmic might mean million different things and outcomes. They often say that a karmic meeting is destined to end when your "debt" is paied and so that relationship does no longer serve you... but honestly, this all looks a little "poor" to me against the complexity of reality and relationships! Lots of lifetime r/s are karmic and they never end. Karmic is about growing up, developing your true "self", and the roads to such fullfilment are endless. And by the way, astrology is not about prediction, I believe, it is about how we deal with the influence coming from the cosmic energy, how we are in tune with it, how our energy connects and develops together with the flow of it all :-)

I don't know Hiraku... I imagine how your mom feels... I've been feeling like that, I've experienced this in one longtime relationship... even though I was never really treated badly, it might be harsh when two people just get distant and expectations never meet, it's none's fault, just the two own inner needs and paths don't meet and it becomes more and more difficult to understand each others... when two are "in tune" with complicity, any burden can be overcome, I think. The burden starts when the two get intimately distant, when this happens, even the little silliest things become a burden... But in the end, I believe the real debt is the one we owe to ourselves, in becoming a better person, in achieving what we need and deserve, basically well-being, happyness and ability to love/being loved the way we are.
