Hey all, I just had my first kid. I was so excited to look at their chart and then I saw how they don’t have great moon aspects (I’m the mom), and my synastry with them is so-so. I can understand this because I can feel the karma, and my relationship with their dad hasn’t been easy, but some days I really feel it and I worry. I just had the babe a few months ago, so I’m probably extra sensitive about it now, but I was wondering if anyone here has faced something similar before, and how you went about it? Did you see your intentional, positive efforts pay off and heal any difficulties, did you see things improve over time, etc? Would love to hear from people, thanks IP: Logged |

I’m still very much a newbie here and haven’t spent loads of time analysing the synastry of my children’s charts. However, the experience I’ve had with both of them is that they have both triggered me in different ways throughout the different phases that each of them have gone through. I’ve learned so much about myself though them. I think, some of the best aspects of learning astrology for me has been acceptance of others and increased self awareness. These have been very helpful in my parenting. It’s good to read the charts and be aware of them but nothing will prepare you for the adaptations and changes you will need to embrace as a parent. It is the most challenging but rewarding experience to go through in life. But if you stay aware and are open to embracing your shadow side (Scorpio moon and Mars here) then there isn’t any reason that you can’t develop a fantastic relationship with your child. Luckily the love of a parent is unconditional and that certainly helps! IP: Logged |

Hey there Pluto, Pluto has also been a huge teacher for me Thanks so much for your thoughtful reply! I understand and relate to much of what you're saying. You sound like an honest parent who does their inner work. I've been looking at the charts more and I have a better sense of the lessons that are here. I also know I gotta open to the positives and not let my fears of the more challenging aspects take over. Many thanks for your encouragement! If anyone else has thoughts or experiences, I'd love to hear them! <3 IP: Logged |

Hi there, I have what would be considered a great synastry chart with my mom but I don’t think it plays out in real life. I do however have a difficult moon aspect in my natal and I think it is more representative of what’s gone on in real life. For starters, I think that you’re aware and care, this makes you a great mom already. I think astrology can be a great tool for us to understand the ingredients in a person’s personality and in a relationship. Maybe use what you see to be more sensitive to your child as he/she grows, keeping in mind the strengths and the blind spots of your relationship with one another and his/her sensitivities? Don’t be too hard on yourself! I personally think being mindful and intentional definitely pays off! Congratulations on becoming a mother!!! 🩷

Hi! Thanks so much Dwhelps )I’m starting to see that what’s in our synastry is truly an opportunity for things to be healed and cleared, on ancestral and past-life levels. It makes me take full responsibility for my childhood wounding and choose to do things differently. I see how this is a blessing, even tho it has its challenges sometimes. AND, the more pleasant aspects we have make the harder aspects easier to navigate, for sure. Someone’s gotta do the work to heal the family lines, eh??! May I have the courage to do my part <3 IP: Logged |

I feel compelled to answer as I’ve studied astrology longer than my kids have been alive. The eldest of my 3 is almost 19.I’ve learned the most about synastry thru my kids. You get to live it all out in real time as they grow and learn about each other. Take a look at your aspects and make mental bookmarks about the energy there. I’ve been able to take difficult squares and encourage my kids to overcome challenges. It’s hard sometimes. But you, as the parent, can use the wisdom you have about astrology to be more patient and understanding of the person you are raising. I can’t wait to have grandchildren to do it all over again!! 🙂 IP: Logged |

llewsacm Just wanted to say thank you so much! I really appreciate your insights and encouragement. I’m feeling more aware and clear with it all. I meant to reply earlier but my desktop is telling me the forum isn’t encrypted or something like that, so it only works to reply from my cell phone, but I find that harder to do. Again, many thanks - I appreciate you taking the time to share your experiences!IP: Logged |
