I gave l have decided to ask for some help with a pretty interesting synastry chart. I recently gave birth to my second child (12 years after my son's birth with another man) and of course I rushed into casting a synastry chart. However, I ended up being really confused. My daughter's saturn sits right on the top of my Sun, squares my moon and my Mars too. Not surprisingly, Saturn has been hitting my whole chart for quite a long time now. I have to admit I am really scared of what our synastry might bring in the future. I know what saturn can bring when acting from the parent 's chart.. but what happens when it is the opposite? I am afraid my daughter won't like me, I don't want to get engaged in battles like I did with my mother. We used to fight a lot and I hated her for the most of my life. As it should be, my daughter brings to consciousness my worst fears and feelings of inadequacy that I won't be a good mom to her. I even bought a natal chart reading from Astrodienst. Among else, it says my daughter will be jealous of me and she will see me as a rival. Which would be a nightmare for me.

I am posting a synastry wheel. I would really appreciate any insights.

First wanted to say that it can help to consider what you were experiencing, feeling, and learning around the time when you gave birth, because that’s when the transits happened. Like, the Saturn conjunct sun and square moon and mars… sounds like you were going through a deep maturation process. And what was that process for?! Preparation to welcome your daughter

Your ego and identity (sun), your emotional world (moon), and your drive (mars) all received some lessons of maturation from Saturn. So it’s likely your daughter will continue bringing some of those lessons into your life. And that’s okay. It helps to look at it as a karmic thing if that feels right, where you signed up for her as your daughter to help you heal those things. Perhaps it won’t always be so smooth with the squares, but YOU decide - based on the amount of inner work you do - how those square shape you guys. Knowing and owning your shadows and your ancestral, generational wounding will help a LOT. It’s crazy how I can already trace / track my family’s patterns and influences within the transits my baby had within the first year. This is real stuff!! I get it.

It always helps to remember too that she chose you and she just wants your love and care. You can be a cycle breaker and break your family’s generational trauma with her. It’s not about getting it perfect all the time but it’s about being aware and working toward doing things differently. That takes so much courage and strength!

I like her Jupiter on your ASC, her Mercury on your DSC, and your Mercury close to her north node. Those are all nice things. Your planets in her second house show that you can help her self-esteem and you can help her manifest in the physical world. Also, her sun is close to your moon and Saturn— that can indicate nurturing and protective elements as a mom.

You’ve got this! You are equipped with those awareness and you have the power to choose how you act with your daughter. Much strength and power on the path

It looks to me that your child is there to teach you some lessons you have not had a chance or willingness to learn...

By replaying/reenacting the conflict you had with your mom, this relationship will give you an opportunity to see things from your mom's side and not just your side. This is what children often do for us. And we are only able to make that leap because we naturally love our children and are even able to love them unconditionally and selfishly, so that we do not reject the lessons.

The similarities between your mom and your daughter confirms to me that your daughter can teach you about your mom's point of view.

A lot of our journey in life is to forgive or heal our primary relationships, the relationship we had with our mom and our dad. Those parents were our first loves, for better or for worse, and they affected almost everything about the way we view other people and our adult relationships later in life.
