Moon's last aspect is to you, Jupiter. And sure, one can determine how he receives that by looking at the state of his significator. Is it dignified, is it receiving yours, is it debilited in any way, etc etc. IP: Logged |

Damn, I forgot: did you check the planetary hour? If it's not ruled by Jupiter or is a planet in Jupiter's triplicity, then the chart isn't radical and is not fit to be judged. You can check the ruler of the hour here: http://www.astrology.com.tr/planetary-hours.asp IP: Logged |

If I'm reading it right, then Jupiter ruled between 10 and 11, and the Sun was ruling at the time I asked. So not fit to be judged, I guess?

I'm confused as to whether the Planetary hour is really a stricture against judgement? I haven't seen this come up in any of my horary research except here over the last few days?

Did you punch in the data, i.e. your hour, date and location? Because that site will give you the exact ruler of the hour without you having to guess from a table. Here's what I have on ruler of the hour: quote: The chart is radical and fit to be judged when the lord of the hour has dignities in the ascendant either by rulership, triplicity or, I add, by exaltation, or when the ascendant is ruled by a planet with the same power as the lord of the hour. This means that for each of the planetary hours certain signs on the ascendant automatically make the chart fit for judgement; SU - AR, LE, SC, SG MO - TA, CN, LI, SC, PI ( VI, CP by night ) ME - TA, GE, VI, CP, AQ ( LI by night ) VE - TA, CN, LI, SC, PI ( VI, CP by day ) MA - AR, CN, LE, SC, SG, CP, PI JU - CN, GE, LI, SG, AQ, PI ( AR, LE by night ) SA - TA, GE, VI, LI, CP, AQ Additionally, the chart is fit to be judged when the lord of the hour and the lord of the ascendant are in the same triplicity. Also, when the lord of the hour is in exact aspect to the ascendant or its ruler, then the lord of the hour can relate to the moment and the chart will be fit for judgement and performance. If the lord of the hour is of such importance for the judgement of the chart, as ancients insist, it should be able to pass judgement on this planet alone. However, the key lies in the relationship to the ascendant. While the answer to horary question may often take time to be worked out, the planetary hour often quickly provide to approval or denial you are looking for.

Planetary hour can't be a stricture against judgement because you can actually ignore a stricture, while you can't ignore the fact that the ruler of the hour makes a chart unreadable. http://www.qhdc.org/barclay/hours.htm http://skyscript.co.uk/hour_agreement.pdf LoadedPistil and I have been practicing on our own horaries and, for us, planetary hour MUST be ruler of the Ascendant, or the chart is null. ETA: Or fit one of the exceptions to the rule. IP: Logged |

Unfit to be read, sorry. Venus has no strong dignities in Sagittarius and doesn't have the same power as Jupiter. Big denial here. IP: Logged |

filleaspirant was right. Planetary Hour must agree with the ascendant. Venus does agree with Jupiter in humour- a lesser degree. This kind of agreement is hit/miss for me. I just had an invalid chart that was actually a "yes".
