This morning (June 8, 2024 at 11:42am, near Toronto, Canada), I asked if I will meet my boyfriend's parents in the next two months. We've been dating for quite a few months and it seems like a reasonable next step.
I know the ascendant is at 1 degree, and I've read different views on whether that invalidates the chart. Same with Saturn in the 7th. I'm cautious, but since I'm interpreting my own chart, I see Saturn in the 1st as more of a warning. I'm using whole sign houses since I'm most familiar with that system.
Here's my analysis based on the question:
Querent (Me): Ascendant (Virgo) and its ruler, Mercury.
Questied (Boyfriend's Parents): 10th house (Gemini) and its ruler, Mercury.
Boyfriend: 7th house (Pisces) and its ruler, Jupiter.
Situation: Co-Querent, represented by the Moon.
I'm confused about using the same planet for both querent and quesited. I've read different opinions—some say it's positive, some suggest looking to the Moon or the decan ruler of the ascendant. Any opinions would be welcome!
Here's my interpretation:
Mercury’s Position: In the 10th house (Gemini), its own sign, suggesting a strong potential for connection with my boyfriend's parents.
Jupiter’s Position: Also in the 10th, indicating my boyfriend is involved. It's square the ascendant, which might indicate reluctance or hesitation.
Moon’s Position: In Cancer (11th house), suggesting socializing and friends. It's relatively unaspected to the querent and quesited planets, which might be a downside.
Saturn in the 7th: Could indicate my boyfriend's hesitation. The square aspects suggest initial challenges, but they aren't insurmountable. The trine to the Moon suggests the meeting will be manageable and supportive.
Favorable and Unfavorable Details:
Benefics in the 10th: The Sun and Venus conjunct in the 10th house suggest a positive experience but then again Venus is combust. Jupiter is in the house as well, but not in his dignity. The separating square from Saturn suggests resolving challenges, and the applying trine between the Moon and Saturn indicates emotional stability and support.
Curious to hear any thoughts on my interpretation or what others see!
