The wanderlust in me would have enjoyed that too. (I've never been to a 'foreign' country.)

For a shorter part of my life, I went through a time of spontaneous trips. I'd decide to box-up and store what possessions I had, then visit a location.
.. Would stay there for 6 weeks to a few months. Merge with the culture. Find a small job to do. Meet the 'real' people eating in local cafes and diners. Make some short-term friends.

Visiting places in a longer-stay kind of way can show you which traits you possess that belong to YOU, and what belongs to 'others' in your life. Sorts out your projections?

Loved the part about the mind always going, 'thinking of SOMETHING'... even when trying to sleep?

That's less of a "problem" for me now-- I get along with "me". *grin*

I used to keep boring {more-positive} talk shows on radio or TV at night with a sleep-timer to turn it off. The background could drown my own thoughts?

Oh. There were a few days where I was sick and at home from work. I dozed off, falling asleep to the movie 'Rush Hour' … and woke myself UP bursting with a hilarious laugh. Obviously, a part of my head was still streaming? That movie was very funny.

They also had been the time where the doctor had trouble anesthetizing me when I was 4+ years old, for an operation to extract tonsils and adenoids.
.. I 'woke up' during the prep when they thought I was 'out' -- I woke up, surveyed the room, gauged how far down I had to fall, and had almost slipped off the gurney to run out and escape the room.
.. Then supposedly "under" anesthesia, I had an out-of-body experience, watching over the doctor's shoulder, watching what they were doing to me.
.. Later again, I had conscious-awareness and 'felt' what they were doing to me.

Later in life, I became friends with an older operating-room nurse who understood the way things were back then.
.. I showed her the copy of surgical notes I had sent away for.
She said the team was worried that they were going to lose me. I was going to die on them. I had gone into physiological shock. Hemorrhaging {Full Moon???}.
{I've had a terror of anesthesia, from that vivid memory.}

Took place in same hospital I was born in,
from Aug 18th, to the 20th, 1959.
The Sun was ON my Pluto.
Full Moon Aquarius {western}!
tMoon conjunct tChiron, was opp tSun on Pluto.

tVenus-tMars {western Taurus} trined natal Venus.

tSaturn retrograde in Capricorn early degrees.

(And... I better stop delineating.
I enjoy asteroids too-- those were significant that day.)
