I wish I were better at charts, but with vedic, I'm a baby-beginner still.

Have you printed out the date-schedules from <site deleted-- inconsistent results!>

Looked pretty thorough at 18 pages of information. Sometimes I look at past dates and the time periods I was under, then try to apply those to things that happen now in my life.

There's a new vedic youtube whose teacher seems good and clear. I've only viewed maybe half-dozen vids, but I like the way he teaches. He is able to draw on the vid screen while he talks. Has printed info on the vid too so you know for sure e.g. the planet in transit he speaks about.

To find Dara Karaka
Look for planet in LOWEST sidereal degree.
{Jamini astrology}
{Don't count planets past Saturn.
and for this system, don't count rahu or ketu-- some systems do.}

Sign and house also will give you info about partner--- even 'where' you will meet them.

Jupiter aspects to that planet either by Dasa Period, or transit to the dara-karaka planet will activate finding a partner.

Also, Jupiter aspect to Atmakara.
To 7th house marriage
To 5th house dating and meeting people

Your Dara Karaka planets--
IF it's the:
SUN -- Your partner will be the one who calls the shots. Is a giver/provider, hard worker and leader, who takes charge and is in control.

MOON -- is more a nurturer and cares about your feelings. This person can also themselves BE a very sensitive person in-relationship.

MERCURY -- intellectual, always thinking. "I think" {rather than 'I feel'}. Great sense of humor, fun. Open in learning new things.
Is probably someone 'younger.'

VENUS -- charming, graceful, a poet writer musician, entertainer. Could have great wealth and knows the finer things of life.

Various Calculation Software/websites--
confusion.
Looked at copies of my charts this morning to check which planet is my DK.

and
I found the most-recent chart from AstroSage Calculations-- which I printed on two separate occasions, months apart, and placed each into two different ref-binders of charts I keep, in past year.
A.S. is now giving me a WHOLE different list for my calculations!!
Thought I might have made a data mistake? .Nope.
I checked, and double-checked {verified on the header of what they print} and this second chart is WAY OFF, using the same birthdata!!! ???

I investigated. How can two Kala design charts give 'different' info?

I've found that some astrologers are using the computer Kala Software for creating a different kind of hybrid astrology system.

I've seen several who do these.
They use the 'Western planet degrees' in determining your list of karakas.
{Therefore, DK Mars - lowest degree is 2.36 canc in tropical western}

They inject the tropical planets into Vedic square-format (using Kala software}. The Western degrees are used for doing the analytical math breakdowns of Dasa periods, karaka-lists, etc.

The 'math' of this system won't match results of traditional Vedic system, if you compare the two.

In traditional vedic, my Mars = 9.22 Gemini (sidereal)
In western, my Mars has lowest degree = 2.32 Cancer (tropical).

The downloadable software Jagannatha Hora gives calculations congruent with the math of the traditional Vedic ones used-- .
Ayanamsha = Lahiri

Joni Patry --
uses her own (c)copyrighted software.
Provides one page with calculation of your Rasi/D1--
shows it using BOTH Indian formats, side by side.
You can see 'how'/where your planets appear in a simplified South Indian {square}, and, in the North Indian {diamond chart}.

Found the math on her website congruent {"in agreement"} with the other traditional v-charts I have.

I like consistency.
It's important-- especially if we're trying to learn in this thread-post way.

I read through your post, and I really want to encourage you to not get discouraged or give up. There’s always the right person out there for everyone, sometimes they just take some time to find us.

I encourage you to focus on positive thinking. There’s a good video on YouTube called “The Secret” that discusses positive thinking and how powerful it can be for creating what we want in our lives. Positive thinking has really worked for me.

I am American, but my husband is Indian. He didn’t want an arranged marriage, but had difficulties finding the right person until he came to the US.

I know this might be difficult or not something you want, but have you considered visiting Europe or the US? If you want a love marriage it might be easier to find someone in a culture where love marriages are the norm.
