Because the mind perceives physicality through its senses and makes what it perceives its reality.IP: Logged |

Your perceptions of people become your reality, you perceive through your senses, until you get to really know them and then change that perception to another one. The lagna that's perceived by the outside world is the Arudha Lagna. The AL is as important because we are living in the world of maya. The true self is the lagna, the ascending sign and the lagnesh ( lagna lord). The most important planet in a natal chart. The ways through which the lagna manifest itself can be seen by looking at the sign/house the lagna lord is posited. IP: Logged |

I'm in a philosophical mood today, so I'll interject some thoughts into your convo, with DS! What you said reminds me of characters in the movie 'Man of La Mancha.. Don Quixote'. 1972. This was her vision of herself-- (music) Aldonza (Sophia Loren, from Man of La Mancha, 1972, lyrics) [2:12] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUAzljzoha0
This was his perception-- and the men scoffing and laughing at her afterwards.. (music) Dulcinea (Peter O'Toole, from Man of La Mancha, 1972, lyrics) [3:30] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayz50HeFJUU Later.... visiting him on his deathbed, she owns, adopts, and lives her future life in that community, through a changed perspective of self-- one that is more in alignment with possessing a 'value'-- one of dignity, beauty, Love and being loved. A more kind and self-loving inner-identification, because of the one who stepped forward in her life, holding space for Possibility. (music) The Impossible Dream; deathbed scene (Man of La Mancha, 1972) [8:51] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfHnzYEHAow IP: Logged |

Our perceptions however is tainted with lots of subjective things for instance among others - our knowledge of astrology ( for people who have a certain knowledge in astrology - speaking about people who look for traits in another person when they know the person's ascending sign/moon/sun signs), or our emotions - how we feel about the person - the physical beauty, the speech, how the person makes us feel, like you said we feel good when people makes us feel good when our happiness shouldn't be dependent on how people make us feel rather how we feel about ourselves and most importantly what are the values and traits that draw us to a certain type of people that makes a them a trusted friend, whether the perceived trustworthiness is up to par when challenged.I've noticed people with constant relational conflicts have arudha lagna in difficult houses where constant adjustments are required, people avoid or rather do not want to see them in a positive light as seen as may be only a bunch of people. I know someone at work who is a great person but who has a very conflicted relationship with almost everyone except a few ( I'm among the very few) who have a relatively cordial working relationship with him.
