Those who have moved strides away from your birth place, might you share a bit about the noticeable differences made by your relocated chart and your general path—what it served? Effective change of: Lagna Nakshatra, Lagna Lord and various Planets House Placement, “Yogs” gained or lost, etc The Vedic Relocation Chart by Hank Friedman comments of on own chart to be added: Birth Chart: Ardra (Gemini-Lagna) — LagnaLord in 9th Ages 1 month to 4.5 years old: Purnavasu (Gemini) — LL 9th 4.5 to 17.5: Purnavasu (Gemini) — 9th 17.5 to 23: Krittika (Aries) — 3rd 23 to 26.5: Uttara Phalguni (Leo) & Ardra (Gemini) — 7th 26.5 to 27.5: approx. Rohini (Taurus) — 10th now, 27.5: Uttara Phalguni (Virgo) — 6th Where I am now, (Virgo) Jupiter has moved to my relocated Lagna, and the major planets that were placed in my 8th House upon birth, are relocated to the 5th. Suffice to say, I’m happy here already, even though I’ve barely arrived but looking forward to permanent settlement. Have an intuitive feeling I might in the upcoming year return to school, the relocated chart says «👍🏽👍🏽» For example, by relocating: L1-Mercury in 6H L2-Venus in 7H L3-Mars in 10H (Dig Bala) L4-Jupiter in 1H (Dig Bala) L5-Saturn in 5H L6-Saturn in 5H L7-Jupiter in 1H (Dig Bala) L8-Mars in 10H (Dig Bala) L9-Venus in 7H L10-Mercury in 6H L11-Moon in 5H L12-Sun in 6H if you’re vedic minded, please break yours down and share! I was born in England, and moved over here at six months (briefly in Ohio, before they drove to California, where we lived in two different places, I don't have exact dates). I'll try in a while. I'm not really familiar with Vedic, though. IP: Logged |

If you’re most familiar with the wheel drawing, one can draw their Chart Type: Relocation Chart on Astro.com in Vedic. It’s Whole Sign House System, Zodiac: Sidereal, and Ayanamsha Hindu/Lahiri at the top of the drop down list. The Lagna “Nakshatra” (decan) is a slightly more advanced concept to study through relocation (represents change in the divisional charts) if you’re not already familiar with vedic. When I moved to California for university: relocated Sidereal Aries Rising, Aquarius Sun-Mercury moved to my 10H, and Saturn, the ruler of 9/10H was placed in the 9th. the Relocation Chart Ruler became Mars, then placed in the 3rd. The house where the chart ruler moves to and the other planets by whole sign are easy to figure out, good place to start. IP: Logged |

I guess this is for Ohio, since my test chart has this as the reference place. Weird, I thought I had Moon/Venus in the 10th in California. Petaluma: We moved to California when I was around six months, moved back to England before my fourth birthday, then back to California in 1990 (Sacramento). Ohio in 1994, and I got stuck here (and now am having trouble imagining myself anywhere else, unless we come into some money, but I'm sure I'll have to move at some point). My sister moved to Canada, with her husband. IP: Logged |

(hi teasel, you’ll want to redraw the charts in “whole sign” and one more step, click the checkbox under Traditional astrology options: Uranus - Pluto off/on, lastly, include your birth chart [location] drawing for comparison and cross-reference, as your birth chart, known as Divisional-1, is permanent. // If something monumental happened in Ohio, say a siblings illness or a parent job loss, it would be worth looking at locally, but the life then and there being so young and brief, would focus on where you live today, though do start any study with your natal chart as key.) The cut and dry method of House Ruler to House is fairly easy to interpret the surface of things, and being a traditional astrology, house genre, planet condition and aspect by planetary-friendship is dogmatic. For instance as told by influence, Venus has enmity to Moon, though Moon doesn’t have any enemies, one can starve the other of expression, though they both are happy and healthy to reside in Taurus, domicile and exaltation. In California, Sun in Aries in the 10th House is an excellent relocated placement, though your natal sun will have this exalted condition wherever you move. Sun is also your DaraKaraka, the lowest degree planet that represents our partner. But I cannot stress enough that learning your Vedic birth chart firsthand is instrumental, somewhat static. Make certain you’re using Lahiri, as there is a half-degree difference in zodiac calculation. Your natal Mercury-Jupiter Pisces would be symbolically known as a NeechBhangRajYog, wherein the debilitation of one planet is cancelled by virtue of residing with the signs ruler. The condition of planetary state is akin to its wisdom, it’s will in reality. To have planets “awake” is evidence of good karma over many lifetimes, development. Though the status of their internalized essence need be studied in the divisional chart known as D-9, the marriage chart, or aptly referred our projected self—the cause that manifests. Other softwares are required. (Removed comment about Relocated Jupiter)

Relocated Jupiter in my Lagna... I've already gained weight. In the past, had also gained weight when I was living in the location (Leo) where Jupiter fell into my 2nd house of food. IP: Logged |

So we use the same birth chart but just choose Relocation ref place and set the ref place? What are the key things to look out for in such a chart? When doing predictions, do you use the relocation chart instead of the natal? IP: Logged |

Maintain the same birth time, adjusted for time zone difference, and the new location. On CosmicInsights, keep the timezone to your birth-city while changing the location. From experience, a mostly intuitive practice. For predictions, I always lagna chart, though events may turn out to be relative to a relocate house system–cross reference. IP: Logged |

I’ll remove it soon. I’ll change my chart later, as you requested, but I’m feeling weird having this up. I talk about these things, and then don’t go back, when I feel anxious. Oh, I think you meant California. My mum left my dad, because he moved us away from Petaluma, back to a more isolated place. She took us girls back to England. Thank you. I always thought that I had incredible luck, before the past decade. Things could hurt badly, but also worked out. Also, I thought my family was the best. IP: Logged |
