What you chase tends to run from you, LEXX. LOA is like courting a girl. It's a delicate balance between desire and aloofness that creates manifestation.

The LOA fairy is a fickle one.

Well I think too it is a matter of timing.

What you are going through now will make for a great inspirational story when you make it.

I started to listen to this again today (I didn't get very far last week). She talks about how she was in a bad marriage, a horrible home, a second baby on the way, and she didn't even know how to paint a room. Her husband had put on a good show about who he was, and she found out the truth not long after they were married, but she stayed because she believed in the vows that she'd taken.

She said that she started to just say "thank you" for the orange carpet that she hated, and for other things that she didn't like or want, and that, gradually, her attitude started to change. She eventually made over their three-storey home, and had at least part of it nice for when the second baby arrived - amassing skills as she went. Her mother had helped her to learn how to decorate, she refinished furniture, and made things nice for herself (rather than just sitting on that orange rug that she hated, and sinking further and further into misery - as I've been doing on the couch or on my bed, which is why I'm trying it).

The first exercise was just to list everything you've tried in relation to something that you really want (or want to change). I think that's all she said, and hope I haven't forgotten anything else - this is why I prefer having the book in my hand, but the CD came through first.

This is similar to something I was reading about in a Sonia Choquette book, last month, concerning being grateful for, and even loving, bad things, or things you don't like or want.

Oh, T, I liked what you said above. It makes sense, in a way... I knew a few years ago, that I needed to just put the books down, but I didn't - I need a fix every so often, and am surrounded by the things right now.

I was just going to add here, that the author I mentioned above (re: the book I linked to), says that she doesn't go so far to tell people to be thankful for tragedies. (She lost a son.)

edited out the wish.
wish cancelled.
That is OK though.
I guess one reason wishes make me uncomfortable in some ways;
is that one's life changes and what seemed like a good thing can days, weeks, months, years, etc.,
may not be a good thing in the long run.
