Still a registered nurse. I work in a hospital now. Lately, I've been working as charge nurse and precepting new nurses. I'm taking a GRE prep class. Planning to apply to grad school this fall. IP: Logged |

Same here. Geez, I really want to comment on something else on this specific thread page, considering what's happened since a certain someone posted. I still miss T, too. And I have no career. I was agoraphobic, and an artist. Then my life was destroyed in the past decade, and I have no idea what I'm doing, or what's going to happen. Twenty years ago, I had wanted to go for a live-in intern position, taking care of animals at a well-known animal sanctuary in New York State, but I didn't get the chance to. I had it all worked out, that I could try that, get to know people in the area, and then if I liked it as much as I thought I would, establish myself in a different part of the Hudson Valley, and attend the State university there. I had all of these hopes and plans for my life, and they didn't come to pass. And thanks to the people who destroyed my life, they never will. Not now. IP: Logged |

Teasel.. I didn't respond right away because I feel so divided in what to say.Like Randall suggested, yes, you COULD choose a different way to go? And, you can STILL keep the core of what you wanted to do. Just have to keep your eyes open, because there might be a 'different' way to approach the same intention of what you want -- what you want to 'feel' inside, as a result of achieving a goal. Are you into the bigger animals? There might be Horse-Therapy providers for those {kids} with emotional problems, that you might get involved with? Some of those animal shelter places you had mentioned are super-expensive to attend!! Seems like they were more about tourism now? You'd have to approach that in a new way? Since you have experience in counseling now, this might more-enhance your being able to work with emotionally-handicapped {e.g. horse farm, therapy} places? You've come a LONG LONG way. You MADE it through all that. You're ovver the hump of your "Uranus opp Uranus" transit, which can be an extra-hard place for some folks.. It was for 'me' during those days-- I wouldn't want a re-visit to that, for sure. Not an easy transit, when you've had abuse and *things* like what YOU experienced. I'm sooo sorry it was so painful-- but, you've got your Dad on your side. That's an incredible asset to have a father that LOVES you, and supports you.. Treat him well. If I come across more information, I'll let you know! Sometimes when I know someone has a need, it's like the Universe shows me ways/resources that can add to their life. NEVER give up Hope. Things could 'always' get better! "Reverse Murphy's Law" IP: Logged |
