I was sooo immensely touched by a news story I saw last night. I can't find a copy of the vid yet. It was the story of offers by the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh, who offered financial help and offered sympathies to the Tree of Life synagogue.

After I made a donation to the Holocaust Museum Education Center yesterday, they sent me an invitation to memorial services to be held tonight.

The letter had strict warnings about Security, and how every person was going to be scrutinized and their person searched before being allowed in. They had rules about where and how to park.

I have no car.

But they included an ONLINE LINK to their services tonight.

I plan to be there, with my WHOLE Heart, and so many tears.

And... I have to follow 'their' examples for letting 'LOVE trump HATE'. What I have witnessed is VICIOUS and DISGUSTING. So demoralizing that Nationalists in this country are being "protected" by the leader they claim to have lended a heavy hand of influence to place him into office.

Riding on the bus into my volunteer job yesterday, I was towards the back. A woman sat across the aisle from me, watching out the window. All the bus seats were filled to the front, except next to her and mine. Packed with people. Everyone paying attention to their own world.

I began to notice more signs on her face, that I think she was clouding and getting increasingly upset about something, with sadness rising up and her face getting congested. More and more she crowded her hands to hide her face. Covering her nose and mouth, her mouth broke open into deep grimace of pain, involuntarily sucking in a gasp. Silently, she was in a cry. She stuffed and hid her face. Staying very very still. Not a sound.

Quietly, I softly slipped across the aisle to sit in the seat beside her for a bit. When she noticed me, in a very low and gentle voice, trying to look unnoticeable to others, I asked her if she was okay?

She straightened-up, looking at me. She searched my eyes, then said yes. She's okay. I took my left hand and very very lightly touched her, wiped the side of her forehead, temple, and jaw. Smiled at her lightly, and said with earnest that I hope that whatever it is, that things go alright in your life.

I slid back to my spot by the other window. She made a strong good look. Better, she looked more clear.

Then she made a sign to me and said thank you. I smiled and bowed my head, clasping my hands to my heart and extended towards her.

We got to the bus station. Climbing down off the bus, she said it is so unusual to find people who Care about others in this world now. She thanked me for caring about her. Then she disappeared into the moving crowd.

I prayed. I prayed for her. She was someone I'd never seen before. I pray for strangers I pass-by everyday on the walk of everyday life.

Walked to make another bus connection across the street. Everything just seemed so strong, silent, , , heavy. Just heavy. Waited a while.

I think sometimes that maybe I am or must be a rare bird? It's so easy for me to care immediately and so deeply for others. For the stranger. For someone who seemed in so much pain, hiding it away from the rest of the world. No one seeing or a witness to private totally silent-screaming pain, so much hurt.

The next bus came.

One of my coworkers received a text message while she was at her desk during those hours-- her ex-mom just died within the hour. *crickets* .. Not realizing, I asked her what that strange look in her eyes was about. That's when she shared the text-message (or email) she had just received. She said some words about the important role the woman had played in her early life. She had been making her first break from her family home, in order to marry her son who shortly contracted an illness that changed everyone's life from that point on.

.. so somber. I was glad she shared.
The other coworker hadn't showed up because she had tripped and broken her ankle-- given a doctor's orders to stay off her leg for a week. That next day, her family's household received the news that an important beloved aunt died.

People breaking. Bones, their lives and psyches. That woman on the bus..

My own head that feels so raw at all times now.

Lord. Strengthen the Will to survive.
Heal bodies, and broken lives, souls, and Hearts.

Let those who suffer alone in silence, have a sense of being Comforted. {{ }}

The washer and the dryer both have repair problems at the same time. We've had a handyman here trying to solve those problems.

The next-wall neighbor had a flood in their bathroom, which seeped into our own apartment, necessitating that I place big towels on the floor of that bathroom, and had to toss my area rugs that were steeping in puddles.
.. Will have to walk my laundry to local laundra-mat. Have a mountain of washing to do.

Next-wall neighbor last month finally acted to have an injunction on her baby-daddy who was in her apartment and used to hit her. They had terrible fights each week. He would break into the apartment to 'stay'. Was threatening to steal the child (4 year old LEO).
.. Wound up that he had a weapon. Her own mother called 9-11. There were multiple police here to force him out.
.. Someone across the street SAW him yesterday in the 'hood. The backscreen to her window looked pried open.
*stay tuned for continuing drama?* oh sheesh

Don't know if I'll be able to go to volunteer job tomorrow...

Oh. Been going to see that Osteopathic physician. I feel like I have new shoulder joints. He's working on other things in my body too, and I 'feel' the liberating of energies in my body.
.. He actually broke the raw sore headache I'd been plagued with. Thing is, I have to go back INTO same place that causes it. It wasn't too bad in here for a few days, so my head got a break. .. Now, I had to resort back to self-care for that.

Anyways. Hey!.. Handyman just showed up. I swear, he's got wings sprouting off his back.

Rm is overwhelmed... and me, with my raw headaches is overwhelmed!!! So glad to have the handyman in the house!!!! YAY.

Gotta go give him some help with washing machine.

I feel how you deeply and honestly care.

It is a trait to be adopted.
But I still don't like the news.

Uranus is still in my fourth, as well. And while being there, I bought my first t.v. set, and changed a bit my mode of living. The t.v. made my small apartment seem bigger, and opened new entertainment possibilities. I ferociously disliked t.v. before. And, ironically, the first thing I watched were the news...

But I don't anymore.

I agree.. that when you live in a very small room or apartment, that a TV can break some of the feelings of isolation you can have. The four walls of 'your mind' get to have some other-input than just incessant same-thoughts. Brings in a stream of energy into otherwise a stale-making pond. You can feel like you have "company" visiting you.

When I was very small, sometimes my mother's mother would let me live with her for weeks at a time. She was a Libra Sun.

She had a room with a piano, and a television in it. When it was time for a program (like Lawrence Welk, a variety musical show), she'd take off her apron, fix her hair, even put some make-up on, then watch the program. She used to nod and smile 'as though' she were part of the "live" audience-- as though the master of ceremonies of the show could 'see' her react to him.

I still remember that so vividly-- it was as though the future of skyping and Zoom was in the "now" back then? Kind of creepy? but so surreal for virtual communications of the modern world today!

With the news... the visuals are very very powerful. Makes you feel like 'you're there' and I guess, unconsciously, that it truly 'involves' you-- and for some people, pulls the inner-urge that there must be "something" you-(personally) can DO about it? Can really "pull" on your sense/sentient self.

How can you remain 'informed' and live your life? We HAVE to know what is going on. That's what newspapers and GOOD journalism is about.

When people choose NOT to be (civically) informed (or, their lives are too overwhelmed to even watch or listen), they cannot make wise and very-important choices (for themselves), especially when it comes to electing their government officials (if they live in a place with good-working democracy).

The journalists play a CRITICAL roll in society, in keeping us informed, and helping us be Safe. Right now, there seems to be more and more attempts at shutting down speech, and 'controlling' the news (and quality of what) we hear/see (resulting in "propaganda").

In America, some entertainment-programs (disguised as news and journalism) are sooo skewed towards one extremist-political party's mindset, that when innocent people 'choose' to listen ONLY to them, then their mind and world are being "bubbled" and narrowed with "only" that point of view? People who innocently and unwittingly are narrowly confined to it, walk in a WHOLE different world than the rest of the people do. And that's sooo scary (in USA) where people carry weapons on their person.

I had gone to a free self-defense class taught by law enforcement. I 'listened' to the way some people in the class think. There are some weapon-packing grannies we pass on the sidewalks here, who are 'prepped' to respond to EVERYONE as a potential 'threat' to their safety. They are totally suspicious. I felt sooo sorry for them, and, correspondingly 'scared' for me IF they were to misinterpret my actions?? .. *bheart*

We had another shooting here in America where a Good Samaritan who was 'helping' was mistaken as a threat and got shot-dead by the police for being a suspect who "participated" in crime? He was trying to save a person FROM a criminal.

Anyways... that can feel 'so heavy' to consider the types of information we can get. I feel 'the pressure' of it all, and have to try to detach-- to NOT take everything "personally." It has an unwanted effect in my body sometimes. We MUST stay informed... and really there's TOO MUCH coming at us now too??

I guess that's when you'd want to be in an information club? Certain people you trust reading certain kinds of news, and you come together to share 'what's going on' in the world. Good to be with others too. Watch out for each other?

And yes, I love the entertainment shows too-- it DOES make life "lighter" and prettier somehow. These do a Service for us.

I like the variety shows where we see other's talents being displayed. They are so brave! haha.

Puts me back into the nostalgia of having been in community plays, and participating in musicals and (right now) Christmas holiday programs. Really... these are very magical Memories I can draw up from my imagination and soul.

The cost of cable services is really getting high now. They just hiked up prices again. I see neighbors who bought themselves an antenna and dropped using cable in order to cut household costs. They can pick up whatever local TV stations that broadcast within 50 miles.

Here in the States there are news shows on Sundays that can catch people up on what happened during the week. I watch most of the World News programs that appear on NBC.

You can catch "Live" news shows when they appear on "YouTube"-- (at least, here in the U.S.).

I found an obituary for an Aunt (my Scorpio Grandmother's daughter), who had died Nov 14 Wed. -- Her picture was there.
Haven't seen her since my Scorp Grandmother's Funeral July 1984.

Was b. November 25, 1933
Sagittarius Sun, maybe an Aries Moon (or late Pisces).
Died just before her 85th birthday.
Had worked in the Banking field (head teller, then once, head of a Bank Branch, making history 'as a woman' back then. So proud of her.

tMercury retrograde in Sagittarius was ON her name-asteroid in my chart at 5.59' Sagittarius.
Right now, her name-asteroid {my chart natal} is sandwiched between the transiting Sun 6+ Sag and Jupiter 4+ Sag.

My volunteer job is also asking me to put in some more "hefty hours" for a few weeks in December (and maybe tomorrow and Friday?).

They are trying to hire two people full-time (who are bilingual Spanish~~ which I am not).

My Gemmy Boss is flying out-of-state to go witness the birth of her new granddaughter 'due' to be born 7 days from now. {They might induce earlier-- in time for the NewMoon Sag?? maybe} So exciting.

Yesterday, she said she is impressed with my ability to step-in and "train" others for prescreening incoming phone calls (in their absence of a Volunteer Coordinator, whose job it is to train).
.. Also, the other day, a newer person was having problems with creating a MS document with table, and using copy-paste feature to pull info to it from a handful of websites. I stepped-in and "trained" her too.
My Gemmy Boss tells everyone I have the patience of a saint!! LOL .. (I just think she is grateful to have someone who can help her out, since a bulk of the duties of two missing people have fallen to her.)

They are asking me to put in more hours to BE/fill-in AS the 'Volunteer Coordinator' while Gem Boss is gone (?3 weeks, in December). The Super-boss (a ChristmasDay Cappy ..) will be interviewing other candidates while Gem Boss is gone. They 'need' my help.
It doesn't pay.
I will be putting in some 'hefty' Volunteering hours to cover their slack.
