It is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Day in the United States, celebrated on the 3rd Monday of each January.

Coincides with his actual birthday this year.

He speaks about standing against prejudice-- not just with the body {taking action for or against what we witness}, but from our remaining aware and vigilant from our inner-standpoint and attitude, too. Monitoring our own Hearts.

There were people in his following (both blacks and whites) who spilled blood and even died for the Cause of Freedom.

In his speech, he said that some would give up their own freedom and Life-itself, in order that there would NOT be a "permanent psychological death."

Trapped by the bars of limitations-- Restrictions are imposed on our OWN minds from the age of childhood-- things that Status-quo Society 'taught' *EVERYONE*, either verbally or by educational environmental cues and circumstances-- from attitudes passed down the generations by family members, teachers, friends.

Baby elephants are trained into conforming and obeying early in their lives by cuffing bracelet-links on their ankles--- chains.. leading to a peg hammered into the ground.

The baby elephant gets used to its limited space, unconscious to the sensory-feeling-- bound-up by habituation and unknowingly acquiescing to the circumstance. Being made dumb.

The 'memory' that gets programmed subconsciously, bubbles and burps up its toxins, filling the mind's atmosphere, where thoughts and actions get birthed in its soup.

These apply not just to race {pigment}, but EVEN MORE insidiously, in the case of gender too. Women.

Some are pegged to only being allowed in 'certain' habitations, jobs, careers, education, echelons.... by biological code of their DNA, they have a 'yard' set up for them--- The Walls, and borders, and what-circumstances can befall one, as a result of predjudices.

Prejudices and biases of ALL kinds are soooooooo intimately ingrained that we could probably honestly even be able to pass lie-detector tests (the body vitals revealing)... truth being defined and relative to the believer.

We get shaken to the core of those beliefs.

KKK-nationalists really truly with all their hearts Believe that 'what they fear' and are ignorant {uneducated in} IS what is happening 'now'-- or WILL happen.

How ELSE could we explain such violence, such vile despicable narrow HATREDs still exists today?

Lack of Proper Education and Socialization.

It's IN THE MIND--
It's in the way we keep everything away at 'arms' Distance.

We ALL still have a lot of work to do.

Interesting to watch the oscillations, the up and down waves....

Practicing self-responsibility,
and Good-will towards one another.

I remember ice-storms. You can be driving along the highway, and the moment the 'freeze' occurs, you can lose control of the vehicle in-motion. It glides, and flies, and coasts wherever it wants. Talk about a helpless feeling?? sheesh.

Glad for my locale. Yes, it feels cold for us right now, but up there? It's brute!!!

Saw this on the news.... *tragic*

Thank God that the 17yo found a way of escaping, and thus FREED her 12 other sisters and brothers-- ages 2 to 29.

People just DON'T know what goes on Behind Closed Doors, in even the most-normal (even church-going) parents.

Listened and watched a certain news clip, where the woman introducing the story (briefly) demonstrated a cold-attitude-- putting the blame and responsibility on the "adult"-aged children--

I hope she becomes more educated about Child Abuse, and its effects on the psyche.

The 17 year old was born under the sky of 2001. The year of "911" ---

How fitting that SHE is the one who escaped and called '911' on a cell phone that was STILL able to be emergency-dialed-- even if the phone service had expired? THIS saved the children's lives.

She had taken photographs .... as I'm sure her story would have been hard to believe?

People don't realize 'how twisted' situations can be-- and the physical and psychological-emotional impact-- when you have lived in a house of profound abuse.

Watched some news reports... listening to the questions being asked.

Some people are so callous-- putting the 'responsibility' of what happened to these children on THEM. It's a potentially disempowering helpless feeling to listen to some newscasters/reporters' hard attitudes. Entitled attitudes. Lack of knowledge and understanding about the ramifications of abuse... stunning.

Good time to just pray, and tenderly detach as much as possible. It was good to hear Elizabeth Smart step up and address a message to them/to us.

All, just incredibly shocking.
The mother was perplexed? ... yeah. wow.

That 17 year old and her siblings had 'planned' escapes for two years-- nibling at and working the bars of their cages.

That house... in that nicer upscale neighborhood. "In plain sight."

I feel 'in touch' with the pulse of general community of people. Sooo many are struggling so hard under current government changes. It's soooooo 'futile'-feeling for parts of America now....

My God My God My God ....
I ride the busses, and feel such Compassion.

The other day while riding, there were conversations. (And I didn't get upset over this. I strangely Understood his point of view.) I heard a black man 'coaching' a small black girl (~9 or 10), teaching her negativity about 'the crackers' (neg. slang against whites).

When. "?" .....

{I called my volunteer-work today to cancel work for tomorrow. Gives them time enough to find a replacement. Needing 'self-care' day.}

Up until now, I did all that time, my commitment, without a 'miss', for over one year now.
This is the first time--,
due to the severity of *sonics* this past weekend.

I'll most-likely try to use most of that time to fill out government forms that are due. That takes much detail and takes the bulk of a day.
{crossing fingers the sonics allow me to be in my backroom to work a while}

Also need to fulfill work on threads for two people here at LL.

This eclipse we had was powerful!, in the emotional intensity. Like, yikes!!!!!!!, rounding a roller coaster curve.

All I kept wanting to 'do' is help people, in order to take my head away from everything that was going on.

Yes, the sonics had been in-real this past weekend, and left me so raw, and with headache STILL today.

I took some astrology work in my bag, and went down to the airport lobby (sooo Beautiful), to 'get away' from my environment here. Got some reading and studying done.

Had my speakerphones on (no music device) to lessen the noises.. Took one of my pain pills to get on top of it.

Hadn't had to do THAT in a while. I 'should' have done it yesterday... but held off. Maybe I would have 'graced' the time better.

Another thing too?
I think... I'm 'people' starved???

I LOVE visiting airports... Used to go to people-watch in the past.

Everyone I see, I am sooo Curious about them. Want to strike up conversations wherever I go... but you know, people tend to be 'leary' of strangers these days. (I guess I understand why. IF they only really knew me... LOL. I always try to 'bless' people in some personal way, while I'm talking with them.)

There's just 'something' about the International flavor that has always energized me... to THINK that these live sooo far away, and I meet them 'here' for a brief exchange! Such Possibilities.

People-- lives like Walking Books. Interactive books! LOL.

You never know 'where' they may be from--- and 'what' thread of commonality we have? When you get down to talking, and go long enough, there's almost always 'something' I find we have in Common.

I just "like" People!!

Will be making important aspects 'generationally' too--
