Ah.. the plight of the Elderly
who have no one to support them at end of life?

I recall one youtuber person who had (with a kind of bravado) said that ANYONE who dies alone, without folks who care being around them in their life-passing, was an "unloving" person, and didn't deserved it.

Then, the COVID pandemic hit, and I SAW how people were dying ALONE. They did NOT deserve that!

"Being unloving" is far from true in my own case.

Throughout my earth-time, I've been a Gap-Filler.

Yeah. I use this thread to talk about various things. Sometimes the discussions are on astrology (asteroids), or some political things. Talk about some Current events.

I talk about my life, and things I do now, or, did in the past... Usually, while I'm writing, I'm actually helping to 'teach' some lesson on Life, while I do it. Maybe inspire people to activities, or just "touch their Heart." ... I'm hoping that through reading, and through imagination, I can help others in some personally-valuable way.

I do like to help folks who have self-esteem issues. That was one of the most major lessons for my own self. I remember what that's like. I don't want people to feel bad. They 'deserve' to accept themselves as they are. And to feel the 'strength' of that. And they are NOT at-all alone.

Yes, EVEN in imperfections, we are Beautiful, and perfect-in-the-moment AS we are. We are Human.

If I could just HUG people who hurt, and help them FEEL good, and okay, and Valuable, I'd DO it.
But! ... COVID doesn't want hugs!!! It's so mean!!!! haha

I would hug people who are Happy too--- to Celebrate JOY deep-within.

I can send AIR Hugs, and LOVE.

I don't have to go out to choose people to love. I love everyone automatically. It's part of what and who I am. Makes the world a Nicer Place to give others a passing-smile, and make positive eye-contact. Friendly small wave. Don't even need 'words' for that. It speaks an international language that needs no interpretation. People remember kindness in their memories of others.

Happened as the Sun in Cancer hit my Vertex and Uranus Cancer H8,,,
just out-of-the Blue, like Uranus.

I enjoyed being given the sudden Challenge of the moment.
I got to see 'what' I knew, what I could do with "just a date" and data for Natal Chart. With some logic {as I'd fun-read for this man years ago}, and the knowledge I've accumulated over my years involvement steeping in the astrology--- it was fun. And it was my pleasure.

Life stands still because of that immediateness--

I am so busy right now. When I'm done and have time on the internet, I'm typically too tired to do much more than watch something. Not even educational stuff, just junk food for the brain, for the most part.

I will say I can completely understand why you didn't charge that elderly guy. But if he's pleased, maybe he'd be willing to recommend your services to someone who can pay?

Granted, I doubt there's enough disposable income for you to get much that way, especially now. Those that really go for the money (with gaudy ads and displays) tend to be unethical and even dangerous to the competition (and as a psychic I once knew learned, people were a lot more willing to pay for what they wanted to hear rather than what was true, and strangely to me, women were preferred younger, though I personally saw the crone as wisdom as well as experienced and would've felt more comfortable with someone older myself, and while I'm in a minority, I can't be unique).

But it can still help to have some extra cash, and with some luck you might get a lot that way, and/or hear of an opportunity or meet someone with connections (and you could promise say 12 free readings if they got you into a better place or some such--some people can do it easily, but be very careful, especially as the scammers might just tell you they can and work with crooked landlords to charge you money for credit background reports when they just split the money themselves because they never intended to let you move in). At the very least they might know someone who can facilitate help in moving in to discount homes for the elderly (surely there are a lot of openings coming...), and they'll be important for things like deposit (which is easy enough to get a fair loan for--though save the receipts and get a copy of the repayment plan/contract, naturally--which you'll probably need no matter how subsidized it already is).

When you're a 'business' there needs to be a 'distinction' about the product or service you supply-- the reason 'why' a reading with me is different from that offered by other people who sell on the market.

I've been trying to be observant of the way I approach someone's chart. I know the blend of other astrology angles that I use, depending on what information or experience the other person wants or needs.

It was "sensitive" of you. Thank you for your valuable feedback. That was a Key I needed to begin to nail down what is provided by my work..

Yes. I was honored that he remembered me after those years had gone by. He and his wife own their own business. Also do Good Work in their community.

I was surprise at how my mind and intuition were able to clear, and to laser and lock-in on 'what' was special about that day.

As far as it being "an asset"-- for me, it showed I had it in me.

I'd need more Education----
* Deeper knowledge of computer basics;
websites, laws/legal issues to understand.
Even to be able to work from my home would be GREAT. This-alone would open vistas to me.
On a job I did in the 1980s, the company hired a consultant to come alongside each employee, to teach them the MAC system. The man told me he had been a teaching consultant for decades and he had never come across a student that absorbed as quickly as I had.
He and I had a system--
~ He'd show me.
I did it, and 'on my own' could figure out in front of him what the 'next' would be.
When I'd get stuck, he'd take the reins again, showing me next steps... until I got that and went ahead to further steps of learning.
He said he was teaching me very advanced things-- further than anyone else at that company.
.. I have a 'knack' at so many things.
A Mentor was an 'efficient' way for me to have speed in learning these things.
Seeing, then doing it myself hands-on, and practice-- anchors what I've learned.

Astrology
* Need to nail interpretations in western a little deeper.
I have a kind of instant-familiarity with some kinds of charts--
I don't even have to refer to a book for those. It's instant.

There are charts that are more foreign for me to look at. They have other modal-combinations of elements that I am not as 'intuitive' at discerning. I'd need deeper study of some generational presentations.
Part of that is--?
.. Some of those are further away from my natal; so it feels more foreign.

That's the basic of it.

Go deeper and cinch SR's, vocational, business, relocation; fixed stars, eclipses. I've dug into those (on my own).

I very much like predictive astrology.

Schooling --
I was a double major at University working at two separate bachelors.
Had come within a semester to grad with Psych, {plus many credits towards MA}, but ALL that is lost now. Plus, there have been developments in the field since I left it. Still have good knowledge-- and an understanding of it.
{I liked research the most; history and systems.}

I had only had 3 credits (on class left in theory/harmonics) for Music, but that now is completely out of reach. Music skills need to be constantly practiced. Once I left schooling, then.. never had access ... for a clump of years, it all left like water under bridge. It's something that needs to be constantly kept-up with.
At this point,
I do not consider myself skilled at an instrument.
Could teach a beginner the Keyboard.
Could probably help a singer.

That reminds me of a story!
Some of you already know I had spent time as a postulant {beginner nun} in a cloistered monastery. For different segments of hours, we would gather in the chapel to "chant the hours". (sing)
.. So one day, the Mistress of Novices took me aside under the Novitiates stairwell -- {It was a gorgeous HUGE older stone-mansion, gorgeous millwork and high ceilings, wood floors, huge fireplaces in certain rooms, built around 1900}.
The Mistress had taken me aside, and told me she was having a problem reaching some singing-notes, and could I help her? I immediately said YES, and I knew exactly what she needed-- to put more air into the notes she sang. She did a few notes for me, saw/felt the difference--- then. oh oh.
. . The Mother of the House "caught" us.
I had ALREADY been under Warning, that I was NOT to give advice or teach; I was warned that I was the 'lowest' person in rank, and NOT to have "more knowledge" than the person just-above me in pecking-order.
. . The Novice Mistress was punished for asking me to help her. .. As for ME?, The Mother took a different approach this time-- She put her feet up on her desk, crossed her ankles, laid-back in her manager-chair-- She looked at me with far away look. Said that I was actually very valuable to the Community-- That this religious order was going to need my skills {business, efficiency, etc} in the FUTURE-- but not NOW!! *laughing hard* .. I had to act like I knew nothing {humility??}.
-- I wound up having a health scare July 26 or 28 that year, during a time of being outside the walls. {They would dip you in an out for the first year.} I had taken a long walk somewhere during a HEAT wave, wasn't hydrated, nor used common sense wearing a hat, etc. and .. it made me sick the next morning. My heart wasn't beating correctly, when I went to see the allergist after work that day. The doctor sent me immediately to the emergency room at hospital-- It "just happened" that one of the older nuns had taken sick and was in same emergency room. Mother of House found out, and said they can't have a {younger} sick nun entering their community; and they rejected me.
.... awww. That was a terrible emotional trauma.
I was due to take my first set of Vows Aug 12, and to have entered the Order for 'life'.

Strange enough was that the astrophysics classes I took for non-math majors has a very wide parallel to astrology.

Cool enough was that the Dean of the Philosophy department sought me out and had offered me a teaching-fellowship {that would have included housing} if I had pursued upper degree in Philosophy. It was a combined program that would have graduated me with PhD in it.
.. Actually, his offer kind of shocked me. I hadn't been aware that he really knew me!! haha. I took two classes with him.. I remember the frustration of stubborn debates!!! LOL Maybe, I have a 'way' of putting things, that had attracted his attention.

The Vocational test given in freshman year showed that I wanted to become EVERYTHING!! lOL.
I also had interest in Earth Studies, and Women's Studies.

* To set up, I'd need equipment, software.
{I have some computer pieces, still in the box as described in previous posts. I am just at a 'loss' at how to put everything together-- WERE I to have space to set those up. .. The SONICS here are TOO Gnarly ANYWAYS.
* Already have a lot of astro books collected over the years, but-- need some more-specific textbooks to fill-in what's missing.

All of those above things.. ?
IF I don't have a good place to live for my Health, then NONE of this can happen.
Would have been nice if had "perfect-for-me" Senior housing--
Or some kind of other offer to live with someone who had AMPLE room, and to whom another person there would been a boon and not a bother.

All of the Above, are things that tussled in my mind.

For work to do, I wouldn't mind learning how to work in other fields either. I am a flexible person.

I have natural business ability.

Don't ask me to do something dishonest.

I love cooperative atmospheres; the sense of being 'family' in this. People who are positive and support each other.
ZERO No-stab-in-the-back to get-ahead types. That is repulsive behavior!!! It interferes with 'actual' WORK and accomplishment. No excuse for that. Loving and Good attitudes go a LONG way.

Also, in my enthusiasms, I must take care that I am not biting off more than I could chew.
