I'm touched that you all wondered where I was. I've been in a dark place, lately. Sometimes Linda is all I have to hold onto. That and the destiny I know I have to fulfill. I do have more poetry, and will share if you will like. I'm also busy with school. From the education post, I do agree that school is suffering. This university I'm struggling through it a perfect example. Off to class now. LMB

Continue to write LMB, and we all will be here when you have time to share some more of your wonderful words. I'd love to read whatever poems you have. Whether happy, spiritual, angry or depressed. IP: Logged |

I'm with Goober. The depressing stuff is just as important to read as the rest. ------------------ Consider the circle, measure it please, All its three hundred and sixty degrees. Wasn't that fun, and haven't you found You can do it again, the other way 'round? Now that we know how many degrees, Must be accounted for nice as you please Here come astrologers, what do they say? Divide the degrees in precisely this way. Take thirty degrees for each of the signs It makes a nice wheel divided by lines. Chris Angelino IP: Logged |

Yes, it is important Linda's own writing could be very depressed at times. But that is an essential part of a soul's journey, and we all suffer from depression in varying degrees. It is important not to be afraid of depression, or being afraid to accept it. It is only petty, closed-minded people who can't read something depressing...as if they're afraid depression is contagious and they might catch it. I sometimes find the greatest joy in reading depressed poetry, or listening to depressed music...because in it, is such a pure beauty...if you look. It is the human condition exposed in its most fragile and frail state. It's a joy for me to know that I'm not alone in my feelings. That the person who writes, or makes music, or paints has had a similar feeling to my own. Yes, it can be a selfish comfort...but sometimes we all need that. Especially when we feel alone. I have myself written things that I sometimes feel Linda or more enlightened souls than myself would frown upon. IP: Logged |

Whoever said that poetry is supposed to be all happy and flufffy all the time? What makes Gooberz so special is that it brings both tears of joy AND tears of sadness. ------------------ Consider the circle, measure it please, All its three hundred and sixty degrees. Sometimes, I think the best poetry is that which expresses the deep sadness and feelings of hopelessness from the author that we can all identify with from time to time. Call it a kind of sharing of the burden of sorrow. It's beautiful in its own way. ------------------ Consider the circle, measure it please, All its three hundred and sixty degrees. Only 22-ish years later... Wow! I wish I could have stopped back to see this. Life is strange, to quote the Moody Blues. Is YIVY and goooberlily still around, Randall? We all must be so OLD! OR...maybe not, heheheh. IP: Logged |
