Ladies and gentleman.... ....someone asked a question on another thread about KNOWFLAKES....and while it was answered, along with additional information concering the origins of LINDALAND I thought it would be nice to give it a whole new thread, just in case anyone missed it.....all about where KNOWFLAKES & LINDALAND came from.... *The following was taken from another thread*
From LBM..... Hello. I originally posted on the "official" LG site many moons ago when it first opened its doors and a member there named Shagun coined the term. Since then, it's really flown!! So happy to see. LMB ********* ********* ********* From Rainbow~ LMB....what an excellent memory!!! I was about to post the same thing....I remember her well....(being there orginally, too, at the first Linda Goodman Website).... Shagunj was a real bubbly gal with tons of enthusiasm, and I remember being fascinated that she was all the way from India, with such a mastery of the English language......I missed her when I didn't see her on the forums, anymore....*sigh* I believe she was graduating from Unversity at that time... Great memory!!!Thanks for the trek down Memory Lane... Luv, Rainbow~ ********* ********* ********* Additional information from Rainbow~ And now folks, are you ready for this???? Do you know where LINDA LAND originally came from???? From me.............when I wrote a poem and posted it on Greg and Crystal's original site........... Prior to this, no reference was ever made to either site, as LINDA LAND (of course, Randall's site did not exist at that time) I am posting the poem now....from the original site......and..as with the term KNOWFLAKE, I also had no idea how my LINDA LAND would soar, when I wrote the poem, three years ago...... Here it is..... *** *** *** *** *** posted August 04, 1999 02:31 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, I've taken the liberty of starting a new poets thread, as it looked like the last one was pretty full....... Trying my hand again...... @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

She didn't determine it, Rainbow, we all came up with names and all agreed on her suggestion as most fitting. That was before you showed up Love, Carlo IP: Logged |

In 1999 I did a search on Linda Goodman and found a wonderful, very spiritual site on the Internet. It's colors were white and pink. On the front page, you could click on an Astrology glyph, and Linda Goodman would read you aloud about that Sun Sign. There were articles you could read, " A Letter from Linda Goodman", such as "Saturn and You"......I have printed it and I have it right in front of me now. These are the articles now known as "Star Notes". There were wonderful members there, such as druid, essence, StarCap67, Dolphin2, Moonglow, Moe Doe, Lori, Neptunian Me and THE WHITE ANGEL, Robert Chancellor, seamistress, and others I cannot remember right now. I had printed many posts, threads, & poems, from this original website, and I have them all in a light purple folder which I keep. These people were all very inspirational to me. All members there were very spiritual and supportive of one another, and the topics were awesome. There was no competition, no disrespect towards others, no fighting, no arguements. Yes, this is true! Over time, the website design and colors changed to purple and pink, then dark blue and white (which was *not* reflective of the original LG site at all & I must add I did not care for at all), then a beige/tan/yellowish color. Then it closed all together and Greg later opened up "his own site" known as CE. In 1999 I posted under my real name, Jovette, and then in 2000 I felt that was a little boring, and I wanted to have a "created name" like everyone else, so I chose "Nephthys", because I am very obsessed and attracted to Ancient Egypt. So, yes, I was a member, of the old, old, old LG site, many, many, moons ago. I am sure no one cares to know any of this, but the only reason I bring it up, is because I think it should be stated that no ONE is a true authority of who or what Linda Goodman is or was, we can all enjoy her work, and share with one another. I also bring this up because I don't like the competition between sites that is going on now, it doesn't matter if you administrate a site or not, if you think there is everything to know about Linda Goodman, and/or the original sites, just remember that each member, now and then, ever Known as a Knowflake, has just as much right to love and admire her work, and contribute as a Knowflake. I will never forget the original site; there has been nothing like it and there never will be anything like it again. This is why I keep this folder of mine like a treasure chest full of valuable memories. I commend Randall for following his dream to create this present site. Thanks to Rainbow for posting your original Knowflake poem.

Welcome, every One, to Linda-Goodman.com, a site dedicated to the memory of our beloved Linda. Linda did not want to be re-MEMBERed as an astrologer. She wanted to be re-MEMBERed as a great writer and a poet, and this is how we choose to honor her name. Of course, all this aside, Linda WAS a great astrologer; she had the intuitive gifts necessary to grant her a place in history as arguably the best astrologer of all time. If you Love Linda and her writings, you will Love Linda-Goodman.com and the people who come here to honor her. IP: Logged |

Dear essence,How miraculous to see you! I didn't know you were here! Maybe it was '97 or '98, but do you remember the OLD LG site that was white and pink, and when you clicked on astrology glyphs, Linda would talk to you out loud about that sun sign? Not one person I can find remembers that. I thought I found it in '99 but it could have been earlier. I know there was a big change in 2000, most of the old members dropped off and there was a big surge in new members. IP: Logged |

I was there, and I remember you there, as Jovette. The posts are all still online at ConsciousEvolution.com. You can use the search engine to find those posts ... we don't "prune" old threads out. They are there. Buried treasure. Thanks for the memories. Maria IP: Logged |

Hi Maria,I know you as "WriteOn". So interesting that the Universe had a way of bringing you to Light here as "Bearing Small Gifts" (I previously didn't know it was you) just as the three wise men brought theirs, at the time of the Epiphany? (Jan. 7).............. *Why* did they ever change the old site. That was the biggest mistake; to remove Linda's audio and her "letters" now known as Star Notes. Everything should have stayed in place. Then the big change in members. Thank you for the invite to CE, however, it's not the same website, and the energy is not the same. Also, due to the fact that I am a double Aries, I don't have the patience (nor the time) to search for those old threads.
