Believe it or not, from what I've read, Linda studied astrology first from coffee-table books in her robe and slippers! This was while she was married to Sam so it would have been in the mid 1950's.Hope that helps, LMB IP: Logged |

i had a feeling she was self taught, having such a great recommended reading list (of which i've dipped into, from the top, and a lot of it is really spectacular) and a tendency to be determined and relentless in her quest for knowlegde and understanding. i dont think i have the kind of discipline for that, my merc in gemini wanting to jump all over creation! Greetings Trippy...Of course you can do whatever you set your Mercurial Mind to! The Magician is the Tarot Higher Arcana that relates to Mercury, and it represents CONCENTRATION, the focus of mental energies that channels that which is ABOVE to that which is BELOW. (see, Astrology! - among other things!) Linda's Asc. ruler was Mars in Gemini, and if she could persevere, you can too. Linda also believed that much of her knowledge of astrology came from her Past Lives and former Incarnations. She also had a bit of help now and again from her Virgo teacher Lloyd Cope when it came to learning the math for Progressions! Hope that helps... In the Light... A IP: Logged |

I also noticed, that Linda took a lot of her metaphysical knowlegde from Edgar Cayce's books. I just started reading Edgar Cayce on Reincarnation and it's one of the best books I've read so far. I noticed, that there were a lot of tid-bits from that book, that she seemed to have squeezed into Star Signs.Am I correct? IP: Logged |

Hello...Well.. to be perfectly honest, there are many things in Star Signs that were borrowed from other sources. Of course it was based on a diary she kept while in Colorado for the first time as predicted by Nahtan. So, no, you would not be incorrect! The whole numerology section is right out of Cheiro's Book of Numbers and Sephariel's Kabala of Numbers. As an aside... I have a great respect for Edgar Cayce, he truly was a master channel. However, like ALL channels he had his own set of filters that modified or colored the information he received from the Great Mind, so make sure what you read "rings your Inner Chimes" so to speak! This is a good proviso to bear in mind with ALL channeled info... filters! Respectfully... A IP: Logged |

By the way, Elvis took Cheiro's book with him everywhere. It disappeared after his death, along with pictures of his mother and a few personal items. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Elvis never went anywhere without his book. His friends called him superstitious. But after reading the numerology chapter in Star Signs, I can understand Elvis' fixation. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you."
