Perfect idea Emeraldopal! The Curious World of The Twins/sniwT fO dlroW suoiruC ehT
However, I believe it would be prudent to consult Prince Rogers Nelson, who no doubt cut his teeth on not only the dictionary, but also a Thesaurus. You don't believe me. Well, just ask him. He is a Gemini (Twins) Sun Sign with a Pisces (Fishes) Moon...and he is even from the Twin Cities.
I'd bet my last dollar that this Carousel Jockey knows quite a bit about complicated Mercury double-talk.

ALPHABET STREET - PRINCE ROGERS NELSON
I'm going down to Alphabet Street
I'm gonna Crown the first girl that I meet
I'm gonna talk so sexy
She'll want me from my Head(Aries) to my Feet(Pisces)
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yes she will
Yeah, yeah, yeah (Yeah)
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I'm gonna drive my daddy's Thunderbird (My daddy's thunderbird)
A white rad ride, '66 ('67) so glam it's absurd
I'm gonna put her in the back seat
And drive her 2 ... Tennessee
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Tennessee
Yeah, yeah, yeah, drive her
Excuse me, baby
I don't mean 2 be rude
But I guess tonight I'm just not, I'm just not in the mood
So if U don't mind (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
I would like to...watch
Yeah, yeah, yeah...can I'
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah (Can I, can I, can I, can I)
I'm going down, down, down 'cause that's the only way
To make this cruel cruel world hear what we've got to say
Put the right Letters together and make a better Day...

Now notice the word Thunderbird. What do you think of? It's a CAR from the Ford Motor Company, right? A T-Bird.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Thunderbird
It is fairly well-known that Ford Motor Company keeps astrologers employed on as consultants...anyways, back to the Thunderbird, which is a mythical bird.
Here's a cool link with pretty bells and whistles... http://www.mysteriousworld.com/Journal/1999/Autumn/Thunderbird/
The Thunderbird myth parallels other bird myths like the Roc and the Phoenix and even the peacock is a symbol of immortality because the peacock was thought to have the power of resurrection, like the Phoenix.

Quoting Wikipedia...
quote:
In Greek mythology, a phoenix or phenix (Ancient Greek φοίνιξ phóinīx) is a long-lived bird that is cyclically regenerated or reborn. Associated with the sun, a phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor...
The modern English noun phoenix derives from Middle English fenix (before 1150), itself from Old English fēnix (around 750). Old English fēnix was borrowed from Medieval Latin phenix and, later, from Latin phoenīx, deriving from Greek φοίνιξ phóinīx.[2]During the Classic period, the name of the bird, φοίνιξ, was variously associated with the color purple, 'Phoenician', and the date palm.[3] According to an etymology offered by the 6th and 7th century archbishop Isidore of Seville, the name of the phoenix derived from its purple-red hue, an explanation that has been influential. This association continued into the medieval period, albeit in a different fashion; the bird was considered "the royal bird" and therefore also referred to as "THE PURPLE ONE".
Aha! The Purple One! One of the many nicknames Prince has used. I don't have to remind you about that Time Prince changed his name to a unpronounceable astrological symbol, do I?
I'll get in double-trouble if I don't go back to the CAR. Before cars we rode around on our beautiful, brightly-painted carousel horses, correct? Now we drive cars and the horses are out to pasture frolicking about. No doubt that when your CAR breaks down you feel like shouting out, "What did I do to deserve this CAR-MA!" while you are sadly sitting on the side of the road on the highway of life.
I'm sure many a Michiganite has already done this, but consider this Lexi...
RE-IN-CAR-NATION
And here's one from the GRATEFUL DEAD just for practice...

TOUCH OF GRAY - THE GRATEFUL DEAD - IN THE DARK
Lyrics By: Robert Hunter
Music By: Jerry Garcia
It must be getting early
Clocks are running late
Paint by numbers morning sky
Looks so phony
Dawn is breaking everywhere
Light a candle, curse the glare
Draw the curtains, I don't care
'Cause it's alright
I will get by
I will get by
I will get by
I will survive
I see you got your list out
Say your Piece and get out (note 1)
Yes I got the gist of it
But it's alright
Sorry that you feel that way
The only thing there is to say
Every silver lining's got a
Touch of grey
It's a lesson to me
The Ables and the Bakers and the C's
The A B C's
We all must face
And try to keep a little Grace
I know the rent is in arrears
The dog has not been fed in years
It's even worse than it appears
But it's alright
Cows are giving kerosene
--> The kid can't read at seventeen
The words he knows are all obscene
But it's alright
I will get by
I will get by
I will get by
I will survive
It's a lesson to me
The Deltas and the East and the Freeze
The A B C's
We all think of
And try to keep a little love
The Shoe is on the Hand it fits
There's really nothing much to it
Whistle through your teeth and split
'Cause it's alright
Oh well a touch of grey
Kind of suits you anyway
That was all I had to say
And it's alright
I will get by
I will get by
I will get by
I will survive
We will get by
We will get by
We will get by
We will survive
(1) the original lyrics were "Say your piece and **** off" but Hunter said that Jerry wanted him to change "**** off" to "get out" to give it a better chance at airplay (quoted by Bob Clinton in 'The Deadhead's Taping Companion Vol 2'). But it seems Jerry sang the original lyrics anyway on at least one occasion (eg 18 March 1992 - thanks to Doug Reddick for this).

Gotta go for now...the kids and dog are acting like they have not been fed in years!
