Linda mentioned different things at different times but I wonder what she really thought about gayness and bisexuality. Sometimes I get the impression that she thought it wasn't ideal or against nature (btw i also wonder what she meant about saying that to be immortal you must not engage in any 'unatural' sexual acts.) In gooberz she says that she thinks that gay people think they are right but they are not or something to that effect. Basically I want to know what are the spiritual reasons she might have had for these beliefs as I presume that the soul is not male or female- the higher self is pure love and genderless so what difference does it make- can not two gay people be twins? Despite the obvious of not being able to make a baby in the usual way or course. IP: Logged |

Hi I just noticed your from melbourne too. Cool! Personally, I don't think Linda was against it, when she mentioned 'unnatural' I presumed she did not mean sex with the same gender. The Souls' purpose for growth and evolvement might include a lifetime or more of bisexuality, homosexuality even transexuality. I could never really see the 'right' or 'wrong' issue with it. All I see is a Soul choosing to experience life in a particular way. ------------------ No object is mysterious. The mystery is your eye. - Elizabeth Bowen IP: Logged |

Linda being a loving and beautiful individual, knew that each has his or her own karma Man tried to dominate everything, it wasn't enough to penetrate and dominate woman, he also did this to his own gender thus the bad karma back door, dirt star, no creation there, ecoli, there, ic, lic, liethus the individuals got lost in lust, and overpowering in the wrong way we must all accept one another, and help each other find God and the Truth these karma's will be balanced and in the end, like Mother and Father 2 are 1 Love and Light to ALL IP: Logged |

I'm not totally sure about Linda's view on it. Just wanted to say that from what I understand, each soul has it's own imprint of a female or male vibration, or a neutral one. And we are naturally attracted to that opposite. There is nothing good or bad about this. It just is. Of course we all vibrate within both male/female polarities, I think that within us there is usually one dominant vibration. Sometimes a female vibration chooses to 'wear' a male body and vice versa. For many reasons that we (and that person) may not understand or be aware of. Life is so complex..... But so beautiful isnt it? All in Creation is Love. It's up to you to find it and see it that way. IP: Logged |

Hi ness- great to meet you I'll tell you the impression get from Linda, from what I have gathered reading her books. I believe that she believed we ultimately have a male or female soul....I say ultimately because, when reading Gooberz I discovered (through the conversation with Heathcliffe) that she believed that we can actually share little pieces of our soul with each other... this is known as the 'Thunderbolt Path'. I shall have to read it again actually, because there are one or two things I'm not quite clear on. Anyway, what if these 'soul pieces' were a mix or masculine or feminine?.... I know its all very complicated...... But from what I gather, the higher self of a person, she believed, could only be male or female. She also made references to Isis and Osiris, and I often wonder whether she believed that the '14 scattered pieces' of Osiris bared relevance to us and our karma; that only when our scattered pieces were reunited could we then find our Twin S-elf, our true 'twin S-elf'. True twin S-elves, Linda believed were a lot rarer than people may believe, and are not the same as soul mates/ twin souls. Basically, these souls were really made for each other, belong to each other- not that they are not unique in their own way but that they compliment each other; FIT together. Anyway, Gooberz explains all that for anyone who may want to know more. I know it is complicated and I myS-elf am still at odds with it all, as I am many spiritual teachings. If I follow what Linda taught and then tailor it to my own beliefs, it would seem that Twin S-elves can only be male and female. But Twin S-elves will not truely reunite until they are fully, karmically ready anyway, so they are quite rare. Therefor, would it not make sense that souls choose to incarnate into both male and female genders, to gain the most experience and learning they can? Life is not simple, not as clear as black and white as many would have it. There are people born both sexes; there are men who are feminine and women who are masculine. So what I personally believe is that we should not judge. All that matters is that we respect one another and do not try to hurt or abuse one another. As one would say "The greatest thing we ever learn, is just to love, and be loved in return" By the way, I haven't decided whether I believe what Linda believed, whether we have a masculine or femine soul...or a soul that is unisex. (By the way she used different terms for the soul, such as 'overself' if I remember). Anyway, I don't know. All I know is that I love being a woman! lol Perhaps when we feel restricted in one lifetime by our gender, we may choose to come back and experience life as the other gender? Who knows. I believe we can be whatever we want to be. I hope you understood all this waffle! I guess I had better bog off! hehe IP: Logged |

Linda was a lot of things to a lot of people, and an inspiration to so many of us. But I believe that her work was a primer; a beginning, not an end. Don't let others do your thinking for you. Not Linda, not anyone. Hear in your heart and soul what is right. Homosexuality is not bad karma. I can't believe someone could even think that. There is nothing wrong or bad about homosexuality. It was not and is not about men trying to dominate anything or anybody. It's a physical manifestion of desires between two people of the same sex, be they male or female. Sometimes sex takes us to a higher place, sometimes it simply fulfills a body need. There is nothing wrong with what two consenting adults choose to do to each other. Watch "Fight Club." Some men like to beat each other up. Some men (and women) prefer to make love to their own sex. Just live and be happy. Or not. It's your choice. Lenny Bruce said, in effect, the only ugly thing you can do to a body is kill it. ------------------ The less I seek my source for some definitive, the closer I am to fine. -Indigo Girls IP: Logged |

Hi Randall! Trillian- absolutely! Hey, Lotusheartone- I had a bisexual pet rat once, lol! Also, my boyfriend's dog, female, occasionally gets a bit 'amorous' with his mum's female dog! lol IP: Logged |

I think in this case, you mean everything from my keyboard. We don't have sound available here at LL, so you can't hear anything from my mouth, crap or otherwise. But thanks for your input; I find it invaluable. And quite possibly the truest thing in this forum.

Lotus... You said;Quote: even animals know that you don't use the exit door... ...Sorry...but you are so very misinformed! Animals DO USE IT! You have not paid attention or been around many animals or you would know this fact! It is VERY common! Mostly amongst the mammals..of which humans are. This does not become an issue with fish..birds..and reptiles..(amphibians too I think) because they only have one orifice. Eggs come from the same orifice as does the animal's excretions. Also..contrary to popular belief...all gay men DO NOT engage in "Exit Door" as you call it, penetration. The Heitari of ancient times used this as a form of birth control. Many folks have and do...wether they admit it or not. Your assumptions are not based on fact. Only humans see perversions where there are none or feel guilty because of dogmatic and or societal conditioning. If it is consentual..it is none of your business what folks do...and you have no right to judge them based on misinformation and cultural/dogmatic bias. Also you have indicated a somewhat homophobic mindset before in referring to Alexander's love of men as being gross. You are entitled to your opinions but it is not very loving or openminded...understanding and tolerant of the perfectly normal variations of human sexuality and love.

I'm relaying what Mother and Father tell me, I am not judging, you are. I saif to each his own, it's none of my business, all I can do is tell you what I know I had a farm, I have 7 animals, and they don't use the back door, perhaps by accident there is no creation, in your poop holeplain and simple, it's dirty crap, bacteria I'm scratching my head, it's right there, everything broken down is simple. your axhole is for ridding your body of waste, not a pleasure zone And you don't have to believe me, that's your free-will choice, and I wish the best all I ask is that you look within for your own answers, so you can see too! Sue! As usual your words show true love and understanding of the human condition. The heart and soul and our personal choices and who we are...as long as there is love and respect there is no crime or sin... Bigotry...persecution..homophobia..racism.. the list goes on and on! One would think that with the internet and other forms of mass communication..that these things would have gone the way of witch trials...and crucifixions! For shame on those who feel holier than thou! Pitiful.. Very very creepy..

ness did not bring up the subject...you did. For that to be a foremost thought concerning gay folk...which are females also..not only males.. Well.. That says more about you than you are willing or able to admit to....The question was... "What did Linda think about homosexuality?" END OF THE SEGUE! Back to the original question! Thank You All!
