Thanks, Randall! They are my environmentally friendly (and thrifty) virtual Valentine's Day balloons to Michael. Though I must say he certainly outdid me. Luckily, during the course of my journey I happened to find a few more balloons for Mike... I was compelled however to "fix" this Banksy balloon in my Adobe Photoshop... So, this is MY home-made Photoshopped Banksy balloon..."clutching a frazzled piece of rope called hope" And with the Full Moon in Leo and the Sun in Aquarius on St. Valentine's Day, I knew I had a purr-fect Lion Valentine poem for Michael in my scrapbooks of poems...and it wasn't "A Valentine for Leo, with Love" in Venus Trines at Midnight, which is the poem about a curly-haired lion and a one-eyed monkey whose wife ran off with a swinging Cheetah...lol Then I remembered this "Snoop Lion ABC" poem in Love Poems on page 106-107... ...which seemed to sum things up so well. Although the girl with the red balloon is Banksy’s most popular art piece, the rat is his signature stencil... "what freaky creatures we are to speak a language in which rats spelled backwards is star" And, Mike, here are some flowers I found for you (they remind me of the Funeral of the Flowers poem)... 99 RED BALLOONS - NENA
You and I in a little toy shop Buy a bag of balloons with the money we've got Set them free at the break of dawn 'til one by one they were gone Back at base bugs in the software Flash the message: "Something's out there!" Floating in the summer sky Ninety-nine red balloons go by Ninety-nine red balloons Floating in the summer sky Panic bells, it's red alert There's something here from somewhere else The war machine springs to life Opens up one eager eye Focusing it on the sky Where ninety-nine red balloons go by Ninety-nine decision street Ninety-nine ministers meet To worry, worry, super scurry Call the troops out in a hurry This is what we've waited for This is it, boys, this is war The president is on the line As ninety-nine red balloons go by Ninety-nine knights of the air Ride super high-tech jet fighters Everyone's a super hero Everyone's a Captain Kirk With orders to identify To clarify and classify Scramble in the summer sky Ninety-nine red balloons go by As ninety-nine red balloons go by Ninety-nine dreams I have had In every one a red balloon It's all over and I'm standing pretty In this dust that was a city If I could find a souvenir Just to prove the world was here And here is a red balloon I think of you, and let it go http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14IRDDnEPR4 IP: Logged |

My Aries sister and I recently spent an incredible evening with Elton at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul...and he was so kind to send us some red balloons... Your Song - Elton John/Bernie Taupin It's a little bit funny, this feeling inside, I'm not one of those who can easily hide, I don't have much money, but boy if I did, I'd buy a big house where we both could live.* If I was a sculptor, but then again no, Or a man who makes potions in a traveling show, I know it's not much, but it's the best I can do, My gift is my song and this one's for you. And you can tell everybody this is your song, It may be Quite! simple but now that it's done I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind, That I put down in words, How wonderful life is while you're in the world. I sat on the roof and kicked off the moss, Well, a few of the verses, well, they've got me Quite! cross, But the Sun's been Quite! kind while I wrote this song, It's for people like you, that keep it turned on. So excuse me forgetting, but these things I do, You see I've forgotten if they're Green or they're Blue, Anyway, the thing is what I really mean, Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBCVEcjScTQ IP: Logged |

Kind of Blue is a studio album by American jazz musician Miles Davis. Recording sessions for the album took place at Columbia's 30th Street Studio in New York City on March 2 and April 22, 1959. The album's influence on music, including jazz, rock, and classical music, has led music writers to acknowledge it as one of the most influential albums ever made.(If anyone is compelled to do a chart, here are the times of the recordings...) There must be a special place in Heaven for trumpet players (and maybe it's called the brass section ), but it occurred to me that angels in the Bible are quite often sounding trumpets and the words "trumpet" and "trumpeter" are in the Bible a total of seventy-nine times. Here are a few examples... ************************************************************ I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like the sound of a TRUMPET, saying, "Write in a book what you see, and send it to the seven churches: Revelation 1:10 For this we say to you by the Word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the Voice of the Archangel and with the TRUMPET OF GOD, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
1 Thessalonians 4:15-16 Behold, I tell you a Mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an Eye, at the Last TRUMPET; for the TRUMPET will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality, But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory. "O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?

Am I becoming a senile & old soul?..which book? Love Poems? What!!!...the Bee Gees aren't your cup of tea??? My daughter, Anastasia, started playing Bee Gees tunes on the accordion when she was two. She had me listen to A LOT of Bee Gees when she was younger. Stayin' Alive is our favorite. We enjoy listening to it during our morning drive to school. ------------------ Got the Wings of Heaven on my Shoes. I'm a dancin man and I just can't lose. You know it's all right. Its ok. I'll live to see another day. We can try to understand the New York Times' effect on man. Whether you're a Brother or whether you're a Mother, you're stayin' alive, stayin' alive. Tying together graffiti art and trumpet players--this is Jean Michel Basquiat's painting Trumpet (1984). Basquiat is an American artist, who began his career as a graffiti artist in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York City during the late 1970s. He was very close to artists like Andy Warhol. In his short career as an artist he became an icon. When Andy Warhol died from complications after routine gallbladder surgery, Basquiat died shortly thereafter of a drug at the age of 27. The tragic deaths of both Andy Warhol and Jean Michel Basquiat were a tremendous loss to the art world. While, Banksy was famous for his balloons and rats, Jean-Michel Basquiat became famous for signing his name "SAMO". IP: Logged |

From the moment I read the first few pages of Love Signs I felt certain "O." was not Sam Goodman's middle initial. Last winter, I asked what was Sam's real middle name. Mike said his father didn't have a middle name. In other words, what I'm really trying to say is in the Aries-Pisces chapter of Love Signs on page 158... quote:
At an airport, a stranger passing by, carrying monogrammed luggage with the initials CIA or FBI, can catapult the typical Fish into a nervous panic. Try to convince a Pisces that those letters stand for Charles Isidore Abernacky or Fredrick Bruce Israel. Go ahead, try. What kind of Jewish mother would name her boy Fredrick Bruce???Love Signs ~ Pg. 158

I wonder what your uncle's initials were... The other day Michael and I were talking about Jean-Michel Basquiat's "SAMO" and his mom's "SAM O." again, then we started making up pretend middle names for his dad: Sam Octavius Goodman?...or maybe Sam Odin Goodman...how about Sam Oliver Goodman? Hey, St. Ephanie, I was listening to "Madman Across the Water" today, and it made me think of your balloons. So I looked and found you had already put the lyrics up. I was going to give you the "Front Porch watching them Fly" lyrics. Oh Well. But I was wondering. I used to go to Mt. Madonna Inn right above Watsonville when I was a kid. We would go to the Park and look at the White Deer. I wondered when I read this if it was that place Linda was talking about. No Room at the Inn. You know, there is this place where I used to go up there, a Retreat. Babaji (You might remember him from "Be Here Now") and his Daughter Welcomed me there back when I Graduated. He doesn't speak with his mouth. Anyway, I wondered when I read that if it meant that one in California.

Mt. Madonna Centre About Baba Hari Dass Born near Almora, India, in 1923, Baba Hari Dass has practiced yoga his entire life. Babaji was classically trained in traditional Ashtanga Yoga (the Yoga of Eight Limbs). He left home at the age of eight to attend a school for young renunciates in the jungles of the lower Himalayas, and he has maintained a continual vow of silence since 1952. Residing in California since 1971, Babaji's life is dedicated to passing on the wisdom of yoga. Babaji spends his time in writing, teaching, and in selfless service. He is the author of commentaries on the principal yoga scriptures, including the Bhagavad Gita, the Samkhya Karika, and Yoga Sutras of Patańjali. He teaches on these scriptures, and on classical Ashtanga Yoga, Tantra Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Karma Yoga. He and his teachings have inspired the Mount Madonna Center in Central California, The Salt Spring Center in British Columbia and the Sri Ram Ashram in Haridwar, India. These centers are dedicated to yoga, education, and service. Babaji's many books include Everyday Peace: Letters for Life, Silence Speaks, Sweeper to Saint, and a translation and commentary on the first book of the Yoga Sutras of Patańjali. Also if I'm remember correctly many of the members of the German band The Scorpions are also Scorpios (i think many with Scorpio or Taurus Moons 2)
Uli's a Sag, St. Ephanie. I once did charts for the Mother of His Daughter, have them in file here somewhere. Jurgen Rosenthal is a Leo (Have you heard "Silent Cries & Mighty Echoes?") Francis Buchholz is Cuspy, might have him on file, Aquarius/Pisces.
Of course, this is early Scorps, when they were hot. This Drummer had to leave for the army, but wrote these Lyrics for Eloy: quote:
Mighty Echoes (Eloy) Just take a pebble and cast it to the silent sea, What does happen? Just have a thought, cry a word or pray a silent plea Do you know what will happen? Billows arise and our senses catch a proof of energy! Do we know laws of nature? All one what we feel or do Echoes return from eternity! We'll come to know our creator! We can't stop the echoes Which are called forth by our animation, We can't hide from the echoes, From the truth of our soul - Vibration! Do we know the sound of collapsing walls, of collapsing truth, law and order? The instant of our Freudian deliverance? We are the shouters at the border! As long as we're entangled in declinating All divine forces around us! As long as we refuse to understand That we are here to spread out power of love! Are we actually informed About the mission of our life? Do we know what we're composed Of the Trinity - of heart, soul, and mind? Our dark nights only come to bright end When we learn - Violence makes us sick and blind! Creation's aim and end, aspiration is to rise The beam of love in our mind! Just think about what we call love and hate We are the ones to recreate it! When we're sowing fear, when we lock up We will reap all the tears All the tears that seperate! Punishment and pain is the touchstone for the gain For the way, our common spirit grown! All our silent cries our thoughts, our deeds Will call forth what we earn, will arise mighty echoes!
