Sorry for going MIA. The kids and I have been busy with the end of school and beginning of summer activities. This past week we were kept pretty busy with YMCA day camp.Anyways, Ellynlvx, back to your Vinson whose middle name is "R" with no period. The name Vinson doesn't seem like it would be a very common name either...maybe it was back then...I wonder if perhaps it is a form of Vincent. My high school sweet (also my first 'real' boyfriend if you catch my drift) was a Taurus and his middle name was just "M". I'm not 100% if there was a period or not. I think maybe not a period. I remember that when he first told me his middle name was just the letter "M" and nothing else, I teased him that being the youngest of three boys perhaps his parents were tired and got lazy when it came time to name him. Great to see you, St. Ephanie!Been wondering whether you pulled up stakes or what. That's the Welsh Branch, not much on them, as the Surname was Jones. Do have a pretty old picture of Mary. I assume Vinson is another family Surname. That's the ones I really felt Kinship to, so of course that's the ones the Fairies keep hidden. Little Rascals. The Trammell line is the one with the Knighthood, we all actually have a number on one of the Genealogy papers. They came from York, he was the Sheriff of York at Seventy years of Age. Can you imagine how tough you had to be to keep those Scottish Borders? Funny, cause my Fathers line came from up there, Scottish. Really, it explained so much. IP: Logged |

http://www.madonnainn.com/features.php Themed hotel rooms!!! I love themed hotel rooms!!! How FUN!!! I've rented this room at the Fantasuite hotel... Not for a hot date or anything...I brought my Scorpio daughter, when she was little. The bed is a re-creation of a Space Capsule with video gaming console and the whirlpool a “moon crater”.

I almost got an Alpaca.Had a Llama, though. They have the Sweetest Ears. Man, I love their ears. They both Spin up nice, but they just hang there. You have to create a Blend. Now, I used to make a sock blend, it was Mohair and Wool. The Mohair is really soft, shiny and strong. It Haloes! But the Wool gives it the spring, it has flex. Not much for hotels. Like the Haunted Part, though. I'm a Real Homebody, St. Ephanie. IP: Logged |

Did your llama look like this one? It's probably for the best you got a llama instead of an alpaca. I've heard things about those alpacas being up to no good. Mmm-hmm... I do have alpaca glittens and socks, but I'm pretty sure they're blended with wool. IP: Logged |

I really enjoy staying at hotels. Growing up we lived in hotels on the weekend. Mostly at a hotel in Rochester, MN. Almost certain it was called the Midway Motor Lodge. We always had the same two poolside rooms. The pool was in the center of the hotel with a big glass dome for a roof, which made it feel like summer even in the winter. I also lived in hotels traveling around the 48 states with a "soap crew". Coincidentally, I traveled with a company called Ramage and we sold a cleaner called RAM. (I think the company was named after our boss, who was a gentleman from Pensacola named Paul Ramage.) IP: Logged |

Don't feel bad, I'm not, either.Hey, St. Ephanie, I got a couple of really good books from Llewellyn this week. One is a Pocket Planner and the other is an Herbal Almanac. Man, they're Cool! They made me think of you. Hey, have you ever read those Pennsylvania Dutch Mysteries? They're hilarious! IP: Logged |

Yes, they do.Alpaca's too. (Camelids) Mine was a Guard Llama, only spit at the poor dog. He used to round up the Angora Goat (Swanleigh) and spit at the poor dog on the other side of the fence. Little Swanleigh would be perched up on this Rock Amidst this Circling DustStorm of a LlamaCloud, poor Lady outside not sure just what was going on. Just doin' his job, maam (tips ears.) IP: Logged |

Actually, I guess there Is one place I always wanted to stay at. But it's the Real Thing. Not just a theme. It's got a Fresnel Lens It's named after the boat that brought the original Wells Fargo Stagecoach. It was saved by that guy who owned the "SeaWitch" and beat everyone else to the Indies. Forget his Name. Kind of odd they went around the Horn just fine, only to miss the turn (in the fog) so very close to Home. Cosmic Irony, no doubt. IP: Logged |

Lens + Lamp = Light Constructed of unreinforced brick, the lighthouse is the second tallest on the West Coast. The original first-order Fresnel lens (the largest size) is still in order, though it's been temporarily moved due to restoration work on the tower. It's currently on display in the fog signal building. Invented by the Frenchman Augustine Fresnel, the lens consists of 1,008 glass prisms enclosing a light source. The prisms concentrate the light, allowing a low-intensity light source to project a strong beam over a great distance.
I visited my Brother down there last Summer, and we searched high and low for a Coffee Cup to replace my Autumn Leaf one, which had been broken. I wanted one with a Lighthouse, found a couple, but not the Right one, you know. So, looong story short, we finally made it to the Lighthouse, just as they closed the Keep. So, anyway, they had a piece of the mortar fall on someone's head, or somesuch, so they had closed the Lighthouse Proper to Public Traffic. I've seen a Video of the inside, but never for Real. Right now, they have the Lens out, and are housing it in the Original Fog Room. So when we rushed through our purchase of the CoffeeCup (Still not the Right one, by the way) the two Lighthouse people agreed to stay after a bit, and open up the Fog Room to us. So, it was really cool, to get a True Life Vision of what that place was all about. One of the guys stayed up front and answered questions, the one that looked like the Ghostly Captain went around back with a flashlight, and Lit it Up for us. To be perfectly Honest, it was Sunset and he didn't need to do that, because the Sun shone right through. Fiery Gems For You Was Nice of him, though. IP: Logged |

Ran across this print of the Lighthouse the other day. Also a decent shot of the Anniversary Relighting they used to do once a year. Yeah, that's got to be my own personal vision of the whole White Picket Fence Dream... I even bought a Bolt of this Cloth, so I could make Lap Quilts for the Shriner Kids. Reminded me of it. ------------------ Love, Ellyn IP: Logged |
