I learned to sign from an ex-boyfriend, who is deaf, and from his friends in the local deaf community.

We would regular the Gay 90's nightclub, so I could truthfully say that much of the sign language I picked up I learned by signing to music at the drag show on the 2nd floor of the Gay 90's nightclub in Minneapolis, MN.

^ ...and that is also how & why my blue & gold Macaw, Chili Pepper, picked up so much sign language.
