Paul McCartney is back in the N.S.S.R. – the North Star State Region.

The legendary musician returns to Minnesota Saturday night for an outdoor concert at Target Field as part of his “Out There” tour. It’s the 72-year-old’s first show in the state in nearly a decade (Paul played the Xcel Energy Center in 2005).

In honor of his return, Gov. Mark Dayton declared Aug. 2 2014 to be Sir Paul McCartney Day in Minnesota, calling the Liverpudlian “one of the most influential and inspiring musicians in history.”

Dear Mr. Governor Mark Dayton,

I'm writing to inform you of a spelling error in the above official document declaring August 2nd to be 'Sir Paul McCartney Day' in Minnesota, the Land of 10,000 Seas. I just want to let you know that the abbreviation for SAINT, is not SIR, sir. It is ST., which is easy to remember because it is spelled the same as our capitol city of St. Paul.

I do have a pretty funny USSR story to tell though. A couple times I've heard Paul tell the story of when he met the Defense Minister of Russia. In his story, the Defense Minister tells Paul the first record he ever bought was Love Me Do. Anyway, I think Paul's story is particularly entertaining because a Russian official purchased something from me too. I have an eBay store and having sold a lot of NIB (new in box) Spy Net toys over the past couple years, I was quite surprised when the Russian Consulate made a Spy Net toy purchase from my eBay store. Hard not to say...I sure hope you guys have more advanced spy technology than children's toys.
