I'm a big fan of NPR & this station in particular. Not sure exactly why, but feeling pretty devastated by the loss of WHDD co-founder, Marshall Miles. quote:
Marshall Miles, who co-founded the Robin Hood Radio network serving Northwest Connecticut and the Hudson Valley, passed away on Sunday at the age of 70. Born in New York City on Oct. 23, 1952, Miles would recall in an interview that he “did a little bit of community college, but then went on and got right into broadcasting” with a job at a Hartford television station. He switched his career focus to radio, and in 1983 began WKZE in Lakeville in 1986 – the station changed its call letters to WHDD in 1993. Working with astrologer and art dealer Jill Goodman, Miles started Robin Hood Radio, which encompassed the AM and FM versions of WHDD along with WBSL-FM in Sheffield, Massachusetts. Miles and Goodman acquired the license for WHLV-FM from Bard College in 2012, which opened their broadcasts to the Dutchess and Ulster County markets. Robin Hood Radio features a mix of NPR programming with BBC news and locally produced shows created by volunteer broadcasters. WHDD promotes itself as the smallest NPR station in the nation because it is headquartered in Sharon, Connecticut, which has a population of less than 2,700 and is the tiniest locality to host an NPR outlet. Miles and Goodman also co-founded the nonprofit Tri-State Public Communications as the parent company of Robin Hood Radio and the North Canaan, Connecticut-based CATV 6 and CATV 252.

I bought Solar Fire this week. The first chart I did on my new software was Marshall Miles. October, 23rd, 1952 is a cusp-y day to weasel out any astrological secrets without a time of birth. The possibilities are all over the place: Born early am - Libra Sun/Sag Moon Born midday - Scorpio Sun/ Sag Moon Born evening - Scorpio Sun/Capricorn Moon Nevertheless, even if by happenstance Marshall Miles wasn't born under the airy Sun Sign of Libra, he was unquestionably in his Element when he was on-air. Sharon, CT is about 13 miles from Village Falls, CT. quote:
Once upon an enchanted time, in 1975, a little Scorpio girl then aged eight, who lives in *Falls Village, Connecticut*, fell in love with a young Scorpio boy--a few years older than she, who lives in New York. Following the Pluto pattern, the "love relationship" between these two young Eagles was shadowed by the consecutive accidental deaths of four of the little Scorpio girl's beloved dogs, within the short period of one year. For months, the tiny Eagle struggled with her feelings, with her natural Scorpion reticence to reveal them - for fear of rejection or ridicule. Finally, after what must have been much painful soul searching, love won, in a triumph of emotional courage. She sat down and wrote the Scorpio boy a letter. In typical Pluto fashion, it was brief, direct- and to the point. No words wasted. I've asked her permission ( and his) to share it with Scorpio lovers everywhere ...and with a touching and beautiful victory over their Sun Sign's innate sense of personal privacy, they have granted it. Both said they didn't mind-- and hoped that grown-up Eagles would use it as a guide when there's something heavy in their hearts which they feel will make them burst open if they can't find a way to express it. Here, then, is her letter--a genuine communication of truth and courage, from Scorpio to Scorpio--in her own words, including even her own spelling. Dear Mike, This is going to be a short note . . . becase its a short note. Some of my frends think I am dumb to like you. But that won't ever stop me from loving you. I like you becase we both beleeve in fairees, elvs and druides..and we both beleeve in mafik and the THIRD EYE!!! I gess that means we love each other...doesn't it? Chinatti. Chinatti--I love that name. It's such an interesting word. It is not a common surname. It might even be fair to say that Chinatti is a rare surname. I believe the Chinatti family Linda Goodman wrote about is from Village Falls, CT which is nearby this radio station. Jill Goodman, an astrologer and art dealer, is co-owner of this radio station. Quirky coincidence?

I was leaning in that direction too.The photos of WHDD's Jill Goodman look strikingly similar to the Jill Goodman in the painting on my cellphone wallpaper. It was painted by Jill's art teacher. Jill was one of the models for the cityscape painting. Truly the only difference is she's much prettier, more beautiful in real life photos than younger Jill in the painting. Like if she's not thee Jill Goodman, then like what nerve. You could at least use Jillian. Sorry for having a spicy moment there. *recomposes self* Have you heard Jill Goodman's Cosmic Logic segment? She opens with Jack Johnson's song "Good People". How fun is that? And you know how I l-o-v-e a 'good song'... "Well you win, it's your show now So what's it gonna be 'Cause people will tune in How many train wrecks do we need to see Before we lose touch of We thought this was low It's bad getting worse so Where did all the good people go?" If I was an radio station employee who habitually used song lyrics to communicate with and likely annoy my co-workers, this would be my reply back to Jill Goodman's "Good People" by Jack Johnson... "I've seen all good people turn their heads each day So satisfied I'm on my way I've seen all good people turn their heads each day So satisfied I'm on my way
Take a straight and stronger course to the corner of your life Make the white queen run so fast she hasn't got time to make you a wife 'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and its news is captured for the queen to use Move me on to any black square Use me anytime you want Just remember that the goal Is for us all to capture all we want Don't surround yourself with yourself Move on back two squares Send an Instant Karma to me Initial it with loving care..." Yes - I've Seen All Good People: a. Your Move, b. All Good People

"Chinatti, Chinatti, Chinatti..." Michael says that besides me, the only friend of his mom who has visited him in Hawaii is Roland H. Chinatti.
Roland Chinatti is one of "the three Lions". The other two Lions are Robert S. Kemery and Robert A. Brewer. My best guess is that "Chinatti" is a regional surname from the Chinati region of Italy. Do you want to know another Italian surname that's fun to say? Silly me. Of course you do! "Marconi, Marconi, Marconi..."

(With deadlines at work today, this is the readers digest version, or long story short...) Earlier this month, I asked Mike Goodman about this strange "coincidence".
And today, I happened to have a nice phone conversation with Jill Goodman at the radio station and I asked her about this divinely strange "coincidence". Oh, Suzanne-a!.. So, now...I'm compelled to ask you, Mr. Mixon, what is your take regarding this "NOT a coincidence" ?
Please elaborate.
