I say it twice also. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

I also kind of forgot it, but maybe I say it subconsciously I also get confused when trying to visualise the words being destroyed out in the universe... It's kinda fun though. Has anyone noticed that sword = words? I was thinking, the "pen is mightier than the sword" could be re-phrased "words are as mighty as swords", but I guess the pen is still mightier? I wanted to say this sword/words thing for the last week but didn't know where to put it Thanks guys , Dean. IP: Logged |

I keep wondering, if you think something negative, does thinking "Cancel" destroy the thought?Dean. IP: Logged |

Even if I think something negative, I try to say cancel, cancel out loud.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Nah. I sometimes think it (and sometimes whisper it). Ideally, out loud and screaming it would be best, but that isn't always prudent. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." It just helps to prevent us from creating an unintentional bad experience with our negative thoughts/words. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Saying cancel really works!!It's become very habitual for me, I cancel myself when I say death words in a sentence, like, "My stomach is killing me." I say cancel and think cancel all the time, practically everyday, and now its even showed up in my dreams. At least my unconcious is picking up on it, and knows I mean it. I cancel myself when I think negatively about driving, because I'm still rather shaky about driving, it still scares me to drive even though I have my license, so I cancel myself when I think negatively. Has it had the same effect toward you Randall? -StarLover IP: Logged |

When you make a conscious effort to eliminate deathist lingo, you see how often it happens all around you. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." I'm also more conscious of when I say anything that does that (even in dreams). ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Yes, because dreams seem real, and it is ingrained to notice negativity when I say it.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Oh, I notice death lingo all the time, and I get bothered by it because it rubs off on me. So I'm forced to constantly say CANCEL. IP: Logged |
