We are all here because of Linda... for different reasons, may be. What in Linda, you liked most, which impressed and inspired you?------------------ You are endless galaxies, you have seen but one star - Linda Goodman, Sun Signs IP: Logged |

Excellent question, raj!I love the way Linda could make her presence felt through the written word. Often i have put down one of her books to suddenly realize that she wasn't *actually* in the same room with me! And what a winning personality she projected! She is a perfect example of the Aries' "charm through innocence". I love the way she put her heart into what she did, how she stood by what she believed in against all opposition or argument. I loved her lack of arrogance, she never sounded judgemental or "holier-than-thou". Aries corresponds to the infant, and what is there not to love about babies? Especially our dear baby Linda. Her presence came through so strongly, and she expressed herself so openly and honestly, that i (and many of you, i'm sure) really felt like we KNEW her. Although i never met her, i was deeply saddened when i learned of her "death", and went about depressed for a few days. The thought of never learning more from this amazingly wise and talented person was almost too much to bear! Linda, wherever you are, you WERE an awesome writer! Gooberz is the most beautiful book i've ever known, and 'Star Signs made my head reel, with its overwhelming barrage of spiral-inspiring information. You deserve every bit of love that all the Knowflakes worldwide have for you. You have given us no less. She gave all the hope and encouragement, and all the tangible help she could, to a weary and careworn world. I would almost say that i could never repay what she has done for me... but i know that her selfless answer to that would be, "Just follow your star and find your place in the One True Verse; that is all the thanks i need." Will do, Linda! IP: Logged |

I think Linda's influence is largely due to her talent at writing. She was a great sage, but, in all honesty, there are others who know more than her. However, it was her communication skills that set her apart from the rest. She was such a good writer that you felt like she was speaking directly to you, like the song "Killing Me Softly", where Roberta Flack sings "I felt you found my letters and read each one out loud".That's why her readers are so devoted, because they feel a personal connection to her. All that and how she showed us how to 'dive' into all these amazing TRUTHS...and did it with such simplicity. Like giving us a chocolate-chip cookie recipie.

One of the biggest things that attracted me to Linda was her sense of humor. She definitly puts a smile on my face when I read her books.-Starchild IP: Logged |

Her great sense of humor for sure, and also that she shared esoteric knowledge with the world. I bought StarSigns in a supermarket! When I got to my car I pulled it out of the bag, and opened to the last chapter, which I proceded to read in it's entirety...I sat there in the parking lot totally fastinated by what I was reading! My little girl fell asleep in the back seat! By the time I started the car, I was an Immortal! IP: Logged |

all that fire baby! really helps to get this earth girl off her butt and EXCITED! star signs was so fun to read, because there were so many little tidbits of information in there~ as i read i constantly told people of her intruiging magics and mystical facts, i still spread her knowledge like little seeds into people's minds and these people usually come back to me asking "what was that trick about when to cut your hair" "tell me about immortality again"... i guess i like that her style is so COMPELLING, and that she was able to write in such a way that although nothing in my brain fitted with many of the things she taught (esp. in gooberz) it did a lot of rearranging to make room for it, because my heart knew it to be true!!! have i said yet how glad i am that there is a web site to talk about this stuff in?! when i read her books, my mind goes into overtime and i love having a place to let it run wild! thanks guys IP: Logged |

I felt like in the end, after all the facts and data and astrology were forgotten by my brain, that what Linda was was a writer. Being able to take readers on a journey through themselves and back out again with words alone is an incredible gift and she had it. Taking all of the cynicism and closed-mindedness typical of our times and hitting it with a huge Aries hammer of arguments, she practically made the New Age what it is. At least she did for me.

Yes Linda was a great writer, she spoke in a language I understood, even if I didn't agree with something she wrote, it was cool, because she was great anyhow. ------------------ Food is the only art that nourishes! IP: Logged |

Fantastic question! Since I haven't been lucky enough to meet this great soul in person, all I can judge is her books. The first book I read was Star Signs. And the language, the ideas that she spoke was very inspiring for me in two ways. One - I could connect with her language and presentation. Two - her ideas were exactly what I have believed for a long time, because whatever my religion talks about is the same things thay Linda has spoken.------------------ Welcome Home to GhostVillage IP: Logged |

You dug pretty deep in the stacks to pull this one out, didn't you, Moon666Child?I loved the informal manner in which Linda wrote. Reading one of her books is like listening to a wise, dear friend. IP: Logged |

Her humor, her literary talent, her WISE-Dom. She had a way of pulling the reader into her reality and waking them up to the fact, that it is also their reality. She inspires me step out of the ordinary and be ME! I LOVE this thread...
