homophobia is not the only area in which linda contradicts herself. though she lays out some pretty complex and strict guidelines, she also says, don't take my word for it, find your own path...which latter advice i found more helpful and honest. though i credit her with opening the eyes and minds of many i think sometimes she just "ran with it" - and her main intent was to make people think about things not normally considered legitimate. like many aries she was opinionated but i think she peppers her writings with encouragement to think for yourself....i think a lot of the things she said were because she realized that BREAKING DOWN programming and bias were the first step to liberating your mind and soul.IP: Logged |

Indeed. Yes I have posted this elsewhere but it applies here also.To continue with Linda's own words on the matter of "her personal rules and truths", which many have taken to heart as Linda's way is the only way! That is NOT what Linda said, nor wanted us to do! xxxviii INTRODUCTION quote: Neither should you blindly accept, on your quest for truth, the validity of the star sign codes of the Universe I offer in this book-until you have practiced and carefully tested each one, so that you can decide for yourself rather than take my word for it.
To continue, in Linda's own words: xl INTRODUCTION quote: However, I do not ask-nor do I even expect-any of you to regard my concepts as your truth, unless they should happen to agree with your own personal enlightenment and private convictions.
Concerning truth: INTRODUCTION xli quote: But real Truth can be found in one place only-in every man's and woman's communion with an eternal Source of hidden Knowledge within-which each individual must seek and find for himself or herself.
I do not believe that Linda had intended for any of us to set her up high upon a pedestal and worship her blindly nor even agree with her or follow her way, her path. Many others have said similar as she did. quote: Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it. Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held. Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books. Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin. Believe nothing just because someone else believes it. Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true. Buddha

and since he's cropped up elsewhere recently, stuie wilde, who says "at some point you have to throw away the books, leave the teachers, and walk your own path. there is no other way..."and " i spent years sending people the wrong way and laughing as they trotted off..." BECAUSE teacher that he is he minimizes the importance of teachers and swallowing what they say... IP: Logged |

Personally, I LOVE vampires. But honestly, I don't wanna live forever. I'm sooo tired. So when I find my vampire love, I want to be bitten all the way. Yes, it will be a very short, but memorable relationship. Just the way I like `em <:IP: Logged |

hello Pisces Moon you have put forth a very wonderful question and all the answers to your question were really inspiring, heart-touching and assuring. From the posts here I gather that you are very young (though everyone is) and I mean according to chronological age. Well I am too. I am 16 'Star Signs' lead me to this 'Wonderland' 2 to 3 years ago. Since then I have secretly yearned to meet people who have had similar kind of experiences. For the first time I am actually seeing somebody of my own age group; though age really doesn't matter as in immortality we all are young but still somehow it feels better to see you here. You are not at all being nosy and I really appreciate you asked this question. I still live with my parents and they are not really happy about my spiritual side of life. In the beginning they used to listen enthusiastically thinking that this is a 'phase' that would soon be history in my life but when they realized that this was my Life for me they were completely against it. There were a lot of disharmonious arguments between me and my parents. My elder brother who is also as much dedicated to spirituality as me was on my side so that is why I could continue being with spirituality. Though every person out there is projection of something within us so I have been working on this behaviour of my parents towards my spirituality and now they have become quite a lot understanding than before. Also I was able to cultivate more Love in me for them so that has made most of the difference. Now I love them and they respect my privacy. For that I am ever thankful to God and my Higher S-elf. I would love to know your experiences if you would like to share them. I told my best friend she believed me but she doesn't really practice any of this but the beautiful-joyous thing was she believed me. I didn't try telling anybody else and once while it was lunch time I said to to a few of my classmates that I would never die and that I would live forever and they thought it was a very amusing joke and that I was bitten by a crazy bug or something which had affected my thinking abilities so then on I didn't really try telling strangers or not very close people. It was really wonderful and brilliant reading all of the posts here and I am grateful to each one of you for sharing fragments of your life with me because it has helped me. By the way, I actually wanted to know what vampires are. I have seen them getting mentioned once or twice in the posts but I didn't actually understand what they were... could somebody please tell me. Are they blood-drinking humans!!??? Like they tell in the story books!!!?? That would be a little unsettling.... LoveIP: Logged |
