i agree that our bodies are temples for us to worship....as the house of the spirit given to us by goddess.....

and that it's wrong to take a body given to another, even if your body is the vehicle for its inception.

but tattooing is mutilation? why is it not self celebration? you could go so far to say that eating all forms of processed food is self-mutilation, or eating meat (as it's unnatural)....that any kind of surgery is self-mutilation....any of a number of things...

tattoos and piercings can be a from self-hate, depending upon one's intentions.

but like any other of the myriad ways that we use our bodies....given to us for our use, to express and protect our spirits, with free-will in mind.....

tattooing and piercing can be a form of spiritual expression and connection with something beyond our mundane material form.

just my own musings...
and i don't have any tattoos...i have pierced ears though. but i do have a motive for replying to you...i anticipate having a glorious tattoo one day. and certainly not in the spirit of self-mutilation.

it's always nice to see you kind sir.

I'm a little sad to see how this went, not alot of Love and Light being spread.

I always try to walk in others shoes, I have worked with so many who have felt tortured by their choices......I was there for a friend who had 3 abortions.....I tried to encourage her to use birth control.....and hopefully she didnt have to go thro the trauma again....she was one of the sweetest people I knew....looked like Alice In Wonderland.....blonde, girly, beautiful...I loved her !!!

Here in Ireland.....well wont go in too deep girl, but the repression here....no birth control (until recently), no abortion, no divorce......equals......no freewill....and if someone decided to take their life, then in the eyes of the Catholic Church, they dont deserve a place in heven.....oh it so so sad...so judgemental...I see people walking around with the weight of the world on their shoulders cos of the horrible conditioning and at times cruel treatment of Irelands' beautiful people.

I feel so aware of the pain of others and dont wanna be the one to add to their burdens.......like I said there for the grace of God goes I...
