In Star Signs, Linda did talk about reincarnating as a conscious choice, rather than dying unexpectedly. She was talking about how adepts can become conscious enough to transition to a new physical vehicle when they feel the time has come. This is part of being immortal. The key is that DEATH becomes a CHOICE, not an obligation of ageing or accident.
