Hi Snowwhite! The rising signs switch every 2 hours and it starts at and with: 23.00-1.00 = Rat 1.00-3.00 = Ox 3.00-5.00 = Tiger 5.00-7.00 = Rabbit 7.00-9.00 = Dragon 9.00-11.00 = Snake 11.00-13.00 = Horse 13.00-15.00 = Sheep 15.00-17.00 = Monkey 17.00-19.00 = Rooster 19.00-21.00 = Dog 21.00-23.00 = Pig There are (of course) sites about Chinese astrology and they tell you about lucky years and such and about elements etc..I however don't find it very interesting. I have found that the years they tell I should be lucky in were actually not or other way around. I think it does not make a lot of sense but it might be that I am just not interested in it and so obviously it doesn't make sense. Well, there you go! The rising signs! IP: Logged |

LOL! If I ever said this out loud my co-workers would send for the men in the white coats with the big butterfly net I'm, apparently, an Earth Rooster with a Goat IC and a Sheep rising. IP: Logged |

Chinese Astrology is strange: Local times apply (with no adjustments needed for time zones). ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Cool. I am an Earth Rooster. The Earth element tones down the otherwise "cocky and flamboyant" attributes of other Roosters. Hmmm, makes sense. Astrologically, I am a Sagittarius Sun, Aries Moon with a Virgo Ascendent. I really need that Earthiness to even me out. ------------------ "Loyalty to petrified opinion never yet broke a chain or freed a human soul in this world--and never will." Mark Twain IP: Logged |

But Daylight Savings time would apply, though (if applicable). So, I guess some adjustments should be made to the chart, in some cases.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." We ( you and moi ) seem to share the same western and chinese astrological signs. Would you be kind enough to let me know how we snakes will fair in the year of the goat starting Feb 2003 onwards ?This ongoing tiger year has been quite a handful for me; lucky in most aspects, but tiring as well, and I accomplished more than I hoped for, in most areas. How was yours? lette

HI! I'm also a Snake, and I agree, my Tiger year was very very tiring but also kind of maturing year, so I've achieved some useful knowledge for my personal development. Now I'd need some calmness. What happens with goat year, what do yo mean when you say how we snakes will fair? Love Wave IP: Logged |

From what I understand of it,, it is all lunar calendar against 8000 plus chunks of repeating heliocentric time, I wish I had been there WITH A CAMERA when they calculated that with a an ABACUS ------------------ Seimei, Jupiter Nadir IP: Logged |
