I know this isn't the point of the poem, but...I've met more than one person who, upon the advent of diagnosis with cancer.. they just give up on life. They do it in this poem.. The mother and father just gave up, and so did she. To me, it's just like two people swimming. Suddenly, one tells the other, "you're going to drown" and so they do, because they accept the idea without question. It made me sad in a different way for that reason.. Other than that, unlimited love is a grand answer to anything... IP: Logged |
