In case you're wondering, I never did wear that watch again. ![](http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/grin.gif) Maybe I will sometime in the future. IP: Logged |

I always wore wristwatches. Very anal-retentive about what time I had to go someplace, what time I had to do things. Got to the point where I could time myself doing things in the least amount of time! Well, I guess my Leo son proved to be the best teacher I needed to cure me of that. He flushed, I kid you not, my expensive Kodiak hiking watch down the toilet. It's been a year now, and I still refuse to believe that he did that! ------------------ "If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to change the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day." - E.B. White IP: Logged |

Spiritua ![](http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/laugh.gif) As for me, nope, don't like watches, never did, never will I don't think. Never knew why I was never into watches, I always thought they didn't look good on me, but I know better now. ![](http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/wink.gif) I don't like alarm clocks either. I can usually set one internally and my subconscious mind will monitor the amount of sleep and/or position of the sun.... I think. Well, it works! ![](http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/mountain1.gif) IP: Logged |

Unfortunately for the rest of the world, I have no concept of time at all. I could tell you if it's day or night out (if it's not cloudy) but other than that, nothing. When I am on vacation I keep a very odd schedule -- apparently I'm mostly nocturnal ![](http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/wink.gif) For this reason, I have to wear a watch -- I can't tell you how many times I've been written up at work for being a few minutes late. It means nothing to me, I'm proud I came in that close, but they go ballistic. My friends are used to it. I'll be there at eight really means "I'll be there between 7:45 and 8:20" . (And all this is while wearing a watch ) And, time passing means nothing to me either - I know that we got to such and such a place at 8, but, without looking at my watch, I couldn't tell you if it was now 8:15 or 9:30. It's very odd. None of my clocks have the same time on them at all. Between the coffee pot, the micro, the computer, the stove, the TV display, and the wall clock -- I have 6 different times in my kitchen. The wall, TV, and computer are within 10 minutes of each other. The other three, well, I'm not exactly sure what time zones I'm tracking Same for upstairs, I need to keep two alarm clocks to get me up (with the way I am sometimes I don't think to look at the time until 3AM) both have different times (which don't match the downstairs clocks ). My Cappy friend blames this on me being Pisces (but, I think it's just because, mostly, I don't really care what time, day, or date it is most of the time). If it's not my Birthday, who cares? ![](http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/wink.gif) IP: Logged |

I'll be honest, I don't wear a watch to know the time, I wear it because when I was in tough times (my own fault- too much drug use) I never had the will power to buy myself things like watches because I was too busy spending money self destructing. So when I got out of that phase of my life I noticed everyone was wearing a watch! Haha So then I decided that was what I wanted, it somehow signified to me that if I could save up for a watch and buy it, that I wasn't wasting loads of money on drugs and my life was going somewhere (positive). So I don't look at the time ever on it, but I do really like to wear it!------------------ Food is the only art that nourishes! IP: Logged |

i dont wear a watch anymore.used to wear them in school.then started havin problems with them.one was stolen & others didnt function properly.disgusted, i stopped wearing one & realised that i dont need to!not that i dont find them beautiful(some r masterpieces),but i just started believing that they dont serve any purpose(though i must admit that linda had a hand in this too). i am the kind of person who's never 'on time'.watch or no-watch ,it makes no difference.i tend to agree with SERAPH ...i don't want to be "Timed" ![](http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/wink.gif) ![](http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/spin.gif) LUV TO ALL --------------------------------------------- IMPOSSIBLE: i'm possible IP: Logged |

hehe I like this topic...im one of those who never wears a wrist watch. I bought one in the fall I think, and maybe only wore it 2 or 3 times before I put it somewhere. (I know it's in this house somewhere) Dont even like to wear jewelry actually. Ive become pretty good at estimating time. IP: Logged |

People buy me watches all the time, for some bizarre reason, my father always buys ne a watch for my birthday, Christmas etc. Then during our marriage my husband started doing it too!!!!! I take it off when I'm working because it interferes with typing etc.IP: Logged |

Never been a huge fan of watches. I've had a few in my life, but never taken to wearing one.Lately, I've been looking at watches, but in my case it IS because I like jewelry - all Earth signs are supposed to like jewelry. If I get one, it will be because it looks cool. Just being honest. ![](http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/wink.gif) IP: Logged |

I LOVE my watch. Me and my watch are inseparable. It's big and chunky with a square face, oversized digits and a turquoise backlight - just yummy. Stainless steel because I'm allergic to most other metals except silver and gold (and I don't like gold). It's like a guys watch. Me being a tomboy, I don't do 'delicate and feminine'! My watches always break, so I never wear them. I either get them caught on something and they break, or put them in water. BUT there is an exception. My Nonna (great gradmother) passed on a watch to me, and I wear it Christmas day and Easter, for her. I don't know why I do, I just do. I really enjoy winding it up and wearing it until it stops. I feel her presence when I do that. ![](http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/rainbow.gif) IP: Logged |

I bought one of those cheap and cute bangle watches they have in almost any colour, and I wore it..um... once, maybe. I look at it and go.. should I wear it? Then I just don't... I dunno.. I had a watch that I wore for a whole year when I was thirteen ( a swatch) and after that I stopped wearing them completely.I wear a magnetic bracelet everyday though. It's lovely and beneficial.
