I am interested to know what everybody is doing for Thanksgiving, and most of all, what will you be eating??! We had a luncheon at the office, 50 of us each brought dishes to make a huge potluck, needless to say we were all stuffed. I brought mashed sweet potatoes with pecans and brown sugar praline on top! & brownies. (Hey, I'm female, me and chocolate go good together!) On Thurs, I am spending thanksgiving with my step-dad's side of the family- so excited! I love a time to get together and eat and catch up with family and friends. Plus my aunt used to own and run a bar & restaraunt in the Virgin Islands, so you know she throws a good party! And of course, we remember all that we are so lucky to have. Job, college education, apartment, fridge w/food, few friends (quality, not quantity!), GOD, wonderful family, music, sunshine, herb teas to rev me up or calm me down...and of course, LINDALAND! Love Fajita Have a wonderful Thanksgiving all! And yes, I do know it's hard to take me seriously when you see the name "fajita" ------------------ Food is the only art that nourishes! IP: Logged |

I'm picking up my little brother & sis today (I'm the eldest by 5 years, so I get to play chauffeur ), and dropping my bro off @ my Pop's and kidnapping my sis for the evening. Tomorrow, we're all heading up to Annapolis to my G'mommy's and G'daddy's to meet up w/ fam flying in from Oregon and driving in from North Cackilacky (the Gonzalezes might be coming in from Montana, too! - haven't seen them in years), where we'll stuff ourselves silly on the food my Grandmother's been cooking for 2 days GRANDMOMMY'S PECAN PIE!!! GRANDMOMMY'S PECAN PIE!!! (Not to mention her blueberry, apple, and chocolate pies!!!) And my cousin and I will maul each other fighting over her blueberry muffins. Mmmm...and her succulent turkey, and stuffing, and taters, and COOKIES... (There's no better way to get a college student excited than to talk about food ) And I may have to kick some arse playing pool (my Grandaddy bought himself a pool table for his NINETIETH BIRTHDAY - hey, more power to him) - and then my uncles will take all of us "kids" (some of us are now in our 20s...heh, heh - actually, the two of us in our 20s are the ones that are going to be pounding each other over the muffins) to Tower Records so we can act out our yearly ritual of buying all our fathers their Christmas presents & then tossing the Uncles (whichever way the Uncle relationship goes) their CDs (b/c all but my Pop will go back w/ their families to their respective states). I hope that everyone in the States has a Supercalifragilisticecspealadocious Thanksgiving!!! CORRI IP: Logged |

I'm thankful that my sister steals my roomates' liquor and makes me take shots. Yeah shots. Wooo-hoo. And Yeah. "Ghost World". It is a good movie. And Yeah Miller High Life - it is, after all, the champagne of beers.IP: Logged |
