My grandma is in her last few days. I just want her to go in peace and feel good. If she doesn't make it till I get there on Thursday I they did put the phone up to her ear and I shouted that I loved her and it was OK to let go and some other stuff. My aunt told me she smiled when I said "It's Danita" and that was the only time she smiled all day..so I think that means she knew it was me.

This is the woman who potty-trained me and took me swimming in Lake Erie every summer. She is very special to me and anyone who would be so kind as to send her a little love and light would really make my day. I just want her to be in peace, which I am pretty sure she is from the morphine, but I never underestimate the power of us knowflakes and our love and light .

Danita~ You are such a sweetheart....of COURSE I will pray for her and send her all the love and light I can muster. I hope she's not in too much pain. I guess that is all you can hope for.

Thank you everyone. My grandma passed away peacefully at 11:45 tonight. I found out an hour later. I really don't know what else to say except that I wish I could breathe when I cried and that's really annoying

My deepest condolences.

She's not in pain anymore and you were able to tell her that you love her. That's a rare thing for a lot of people. You made her smile, so keep that with you when you think about her.

Crying is good. Cleanse the emotions a little. But yes, breathing is sometimes hard when we do it.

Just know you have a whole lot of people here and in your life who love you and who want to be there for you.

If I don't hear from you, have a safe trip.

I think I will make snow angels for her. I wrote a poem last night and my mom wants me to read it at the funeral. But I'll probably get too emotional. I love you all and hope it's not long till I can come and post again
