Hi
Don't know if this should be here or in Souls Unions? I have been having an on/off relationship for 2 1/2 years with a Leo with Venus in Virgo. He's the one who leaves and comes back. On Thursday he told me for the first time that he had loved me but didn't anymore but wanted to keep on seeing me. Huh? Is this typical of Venus in Virgo, always serching for the perfect relationship? Why did he never tell me he loved me at the time and what are the chances of his feelings being re-kindled? By the way Venus in Virgo is retrograde.
Thanx

Hi Beverly

Yuk, doesn't sound like a fun situation . I have had experience with Venus in Virgos and I must say, I really like this type of Venus, there is a certain charm to this placement. They can be very thorough and thoughtful about the relationship. The drawback being of course the perfection-seeking element (which is only a typical negative trait).

If he is at all of this latter style, I say, search for a higher love and give him a polite, loving goodbye. Enlightenment is the goal in life and love.

Take care

Hi Beverley
I have Venus in Virgo retro in my chart.
Mine's in my 12th house but it is conjunct my asc (also my Sun and Mercury). As it's so close to my asc it can also be interpreted as being in my 1st house.
Yes it's a tough placement. Makes me verrryy
choosey. In saying that I've had very few relationships in my life but they've all been long ones. For me - if I say a relationship is over then it really is - I don't go back but that's because I will put up with a tremendous amount of "abuse" before I'll finally say it's over (that's my 12th house influence). I guess the Virgo in me always trys to "fix" things until I come to the conclusion it just can't be fixed. When I say "fix" I don't mean the other person, I mean the problems - which Virgo like I always blame myself for - we are our own worse critics.
I never go from one relationship to another - usually have a 2 year gap inbetween. Why's that? I just don't seem to meet anyone for ages....now that's the pickiness

To really have a true picture of him you'd need to look at his whole chart. What house is his Venus in? What other aspects are made to it from other planets in his chart? Also where's his Moon - as that rules his emotions.

Hi Sue
Thanx. Can't remember what house Venus is in. Moon is in Aquarius. Date and time of birth 21 August 1975 Approx 7.30am Los Angeles California.
I never want him to leave 'cos we have a good relationship, but everytime he does whether politely like on Thursday or in a huff like previously I always let him go and he always comes back. Wish he'd just come back permanently.
Luv
Beverley

P.S. I'm never exactly sure why he leaves 'cos our relationship is good and he's admitted when we're together things are good and when we're apart things are bad. Huh??????????????

Hi Beverly maybe it's his Moon in Aquarius thats doing it.
He needs emotional freedom so he could be saying that he loved but he doesn't love you now because he really does, but he just doesn't want to get emotionally heavy.
I'm a Moon in Aquarius and venus in virgo and I know how difficult it is to admit to loving someone at the time, it's easier to say it later, so i think he's just kidding himself really because if he still wants to be with you it's probably love( probably love because with Moon in Aquarius its like...Do I really feel love, what is this thing called love?).
As a Leo he loves to be inlove, as an aquarian Moon person he loves his emotional freedom, as a venus in virgo he's looking for perfection but thats a cover-up for feeling inadequate in what he can offer.
Venus in virgo don't find it easy to love without feeling some kind of guilt, or obligation to something else whether that be an ideal, dream or duty to family etc..
But with his Aquarian Moon I have faith in him, by his Leo will power he will figure it out!
I hope this helps in some way.

Hi Quinnie
Yes I don't think it's his Virgo Venus that's "responsible" for this behaviour - although obviously combining other things in his chart together his Venus will play it's part. But much as Venus in Virgo is a difficult placement I too think his Moon is coming out to play.

Hi Beverley
Not got time at the moment to really look at his chart but I'm also wondering where his Mars is? (I'll check it later). Mars is how we "go after" what we want.

Hi Guys
Thanx - you sound very accurate.
Mars is in Gemini, but not sure what house?
Venus in Virgo retrograde is in the 12th House conjunct his ascendant.
But i do think it is his Aquarius.
Thanx again

Hi Beverley
I just took a very quick peek at his chart....

He has both Sun and Venus in his 12th.
Now Sun in Leo is very strongly placed as Leo is the sign the Sun rules. This placement can have a strong "ego". A Leo Sun inclines to be extroverted, theatrical, attention-grabbing. However, sitting in his 12th is not a comfortable placement for a Leo Sun. The 12th is where we hide things. The Sun very much likes to shine. I guess it could be a bit like "winking in the dark" - no one can see it. This could very well be one of the reasons you have problems in understanding him - you can't really see him (neither can anyone else).

Yes his Mars is in Gemini in his 9th house. Gemini the twins hey So can be two people.

Currently transiting Uranus is exactly (0 degree) opposing his Sun. Plus it's also conjunct (1 degree - so tight) his Moon.
As you know Uranus influences can be very erractic. Plus as his Moon is natally in Aquarius together with transiting Uranus being there....well I guess we can see a "double wammy" of unpredictability
Sue

PS: He's got a lot going on in his natal chart......3 T-Squares and a Mystic Rectangle.

Hi Cat
Your time is only about 2 hours behind us now, so am I cutting into your work time?
Thanx for your VERY QUICK response.
Gee you really know how to kep a girl hanging!! What's a mystic rectangle. Sounds fascinating.
I also have my Moon in Aquarius, but our temperaments are completely different i think. How is that? My friend thinks I overwhelm him because I give so much of myself, she says she sometimes feels that way. Oh well, don't want to get bogged down, but would luv to know what a Mystic rectangle is?
Also in conclusion - do you think the old saying "if you love something set it free...." will carry on working in this case?
He did say to me on Thursday that the only reason we have stayed 'friends" for so long is 'cos I don't pressurise him?
Thanx

Hi Beverley
Yes I'm doing some work at the moment - got a ton of paperwork that has to be finished today

When he said "that's the reason you've remained friends"......."friends is an aquarians "catch phrase"

Here's some info I've copied and pasted for you re Mystic Rectangles"......

Mystic Rectangle
A Mystic Rectangle is formed when two pairs of oppositions are sextile each other. The result is an aspect pattern that includes two sextiles, two trines and two oppositions. A Mystic Rectangle will always be in the same polarity, either masculine (Air and Fire) or feminine (Earth and Water). This is another "soft" aspect pattern in that it does not generate friction, discomfort or a need to take action. What a Mystic Rectangle does offer, however, is an extremely strong sense of balance and structure, of harmony between the four planets involved. Finding this balance is not a given it will still take conscious effort and awareness. However, working with the Trines and the Sextiles will help to make more sense of and find the point of integration for the two oppositions.

Working with a Mystic Rectangle takes some practice because in order for it to hold up, all four planets must be working together and supporting each other. It is common for individuals with Mystic Rectangles to struggle with the two Oppositions, see-sawing back and forth between the opposing planets. Once the point of balance has been found, however, it becomes increasingly easy to maintain, and a well integrated Mystic Rectangle can be the most unflappable of aspect patterns. Once an individual has integrated a Mystic Rectangle, it represents a core of strength for them, and a solid foundation that can be a great gift in handling whatever else life throws at them.
..........

You mentioned about your Moons behaving differently even though both in Aqua. If you really analyse it you'll probably see some similarities but you need to look at your house placement and also what aspects are made to your Moons from other planets in your natal charts.

His Moon is in his 6th house.
It opposes his Sun (some some conflict there eg: Emotions vs Ego/self)
Mars quares his Moon
Jupiter sextiles it
Uranus trines it
True Node squares it
Chiron sextiles it.

Take a look at your own chart and you'll see where the differences are.
Sue

PS: The Mystic Rectangle in his chart (so you can recognise it when you look at his chart) is between his Sun, Jupiter, Moon & Uranus.

Hi Sue
Thank you for all your hard work. I don't really know how to translate it all, and understand it would take far too long for you and also I'm not really into public forums!
When I did our charts from L/G relationship signs there are 2 things I remember:-
1) The possibility of unrequited love &
2) A Saturn aspect that said his Saturn would probably never leave.
I don't want to carry on on this forum, if you have time and would like to contact me you can e-mail me.
Thanks for everything
Beverley
