THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER ELVIS..
HE IS INDEED, THE KING ! ! !

Elvis was a Capricorn with a Pisces Moon....and so am I......

I'm not sure of his Rising Sign....I've seen two different charts....one gives him Taurus rising (with a noon birth).............and the other I saw gave him a Scorpio rising, (with a midnight birth).......so apparently he was born at 12:00....but whether AM or PM was not determined (at least when I saw the charts)..................anyway, if he has Scorpio Rising....then that's like my chart too......

I can't pick a favorite song...everything he did was great....he left us far too soon....

Luv,
Rainbow~

Elvis rules!!!!!!

I had a date with this MORON, a couple of weeks back, that thought Elvis was a thief!! He said Elvis had stolen from innocent musicians and made the music his. I was so irate, that I got up from the table and excused myself...he thought I was headed to the bathroom.....I wasn't!!! I left and came home!!! How dare he!!!!???!!!!

Elvis is the undisputed KING!!!

Rainbow,

In the book "If I Can Dream", Larry Geller indicates Elvis' ascendant being Scorpio. It also says Pricilla's Moon is in Scorpio, so there would be the connection between these two seemingly different Sunsigns (Capricorn and Gemini). I wouldn't be surprised if his ascendant WAS Scorp...after all, he had tremendous sex-appeal.

Elvis was also a deeply spiritual person, and largely misunderstood. His "image" was one thing; his true self, another. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested if they can find it. The copywright is 1989. The one I have belonged to my Mother, through whom I came to love Elvis' music; I grew up listening to her records of him.

I love his music, especially this one!

Can't Help Falling In Love
by Elvis Preseley

Wise men say
only fools rush in
but I can't help
falling in love with you
Shall I stay
would it be a sin
If I can't help
falling in love with you
Like a river flows
surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
some things are meant to be
take my hand
take my whole life too
for I can't help
falling in love with you

Like a river flows
surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
some things are meant to be
take my hand
take my whole life too
for I can't help
falling in love with you
for I can't help
falling in love with you

EdgeHead welcome to the site!!

Great topic - Mr. Presley!! I don't know when I became a fan... but I think it was from my mom and gramma listening to him and talking about him always.

I wanted to double that suggestion on what Twin Lady said - if you are an Elvis fan, read 'If I Can Dream'! Larry Geller - Elvis' spiritual advisor, at one time collaborated with Jess Stearn and wrote a book that presented an overview of Elvis' spiritual quest... I don't know whatever came of that... I don't know if it was ever published, but 'If I Can Dream' is a great read... and in the back there is a fraction of a list of books that Elvis read in his spiritual quest. Larry writes that "Elvis read over a thousand different works, encompassing a wide range of subjects related to philosophy, spiritual teachings, and esoteric arts. His private collection, largely lost or destroyed since his death, consisted of nearly a thousand books, three hundred of which he took with him wherever he went." I think the book is out of print now, but is available through used bookstores. I had read this book in the mid nineties... then received my own copy a couple of years ago as a gift from a friend.

I wanted to add a little poem here that I wrote about Elvis. In my Creative Writing class we had to write a little "ditty" about an Urban Legend. Well, we all know the one about Elvis sightings, that he never "left" us, etc... some bits of the poem are humorous - they are about reported sightings that we hear about in those tabloid magazines and such... like "Elvis Lives! Now a Swami in so and so" OR, "Elvis spotted in a bar and swimming in a local hotel pool"... Anyway... here is the poem:

An Urban Legend

Elvis Lives

The King is dead?
No, not him
Elvis lives, Elvis lives!
So says his name
E – L – V – I – S
L – I – V – E – S

Lives…

In supermarkets, bowling alleys
Skinny dipping in a pool
A safe-cracking money thief
A drag-queen in Liverpool
Born again, raised again
A Swami in a far-off land
Elvis lives, Elvis lives
No! The King’s not dead

Born a twin, became a man
Sported diamonds and gilded cars
“If I Can Dream” he did sing
Loved his family, always the King
Elvis lives, Elvis lives
I swore I saw him the other day
In the bar, in my head
No! The King’s not dead!

E – L – V – I – S
Elvis
L – I – V – E – S
Lives

Eternal,

Good poem...I can't BELIEVE I never spotted the Lexigram in Elvis' name! How thought-provoking. Indeed, he LIVES; in our hearts everywhere, as well as in "time", forever. After all, we are in the Eternal Now!

To be honest, I'm much more fascinated with Percilla his wife. Did you guys see the movie "Elvis and Me." Great Great movie!
To bad it didn't end well...

Anyway you guys are forgetting that he also had many flaws. He's a perfect example of how gluttony can poison the soul. As a matter of fact, he was also a womanizer...I don't want to be a spoiler or anything, but you do have to consider the negative of any human as well.

Here's another Lexie to ponder:

ELVIS = EVIL?

Hi StarLover.....

I not only saw the movie (a couple times), I read the book!

For sure Elvis was no saint, but he was a hell of a talent!

I think the negative aspects of any person, whether Elvis or not, matter little in comparison to the great talent and charisma that Elvis had! Everyone has negatives in their persona, so once again, I will focus on his beautiful smile, his voice and those gorgeous dimples!!!

Starlover,

I agree; Elvis did have his flaws and it's only fair to acknowledge them. I haven't looked closely at his chart, but I wonder if his Pisces Moon was afflicted, and/or Neptune. It would explain his drug problem which had a lot to do with some of his bizarre behavior and ultimately destroyed him. Also, he was way too passive in allowing the Colonel to "manage" his career. He not only had a beautiful singing voice, but a real acting talent that is obvious in his first few movies before he went into the Army. Had he been strong enough to stand up to his manager and overcome the drug addiction, things may have turned out differently for him.

Also, in reference to the Lexi, ELVIS...EVIL: Didn't LG say something in the Zebra Rules that if you find a very negative word while Lexigramming a name, but you also found the letters "n" and "o", or "n", "o", and "t", this would cancel out the original negative word? I should check Star Signs, but I thought I remembered reading this, and also that it could mean a person may be accused of being whatever the negative word is but if "no" or "not" was found, it wasn't actually true. Just a thought.

I too have "Elvis and Me", recorded from TV, AND the book.

Maybe the explanation for "EVIL" would be that in the 50's, a lot of parents hated Elvis, and thought that he was a very bad influence on their teenagers

Also, "Presley" contains "YES" so the negative words are kind of being answered.

This is very strange and interesting...?

Ps. I remember they were giving an Elvis special on television, and there was an interview with Bono from U2, and I think he said something about how Elvis was so symbolic to our society...I don't really know now...I can't really remember the actual words, but maybe someone knows what I'm talking about.
