I use Ladybug because they have a special meaning to me. For two weeks before my first daughter Josephine was born, I was SUDDENLY surrounded by ladybugs everywhere I looked! This may sound gross to some people, since they are basically insects but I would walk into my bedroom and find ten ladybugs on the walls, in my daughters nursery I found more, walking outside to walk the dogs I could count at least 15 on the sidewalks. I would catch all the ones in my house and let them outside, and the next day there would be more! ( I am not exxagerating). This happened up until the day I went to the hospital to deliver her. So now I have a special affinity for ladybugs...I just feel bad nothing like that happened for my little Jordyn when she was born!

I use LambWithAStinger because I think it pretty much describes me, both astrologically and personally: My Sun and Venus are in Aries (I don't use "RamWithAStinger" because I think my Pisces stellium tempers most of my Mars aggression and causes me to be more lamb-like in temperament), and my Ascendant and Neptune are in Scorpio (hence, the "stinger").

Beautiful stories behind all of your original names! You Sisterschasingthisandthat make me crack up! Great topic, Hopeful!

I chose Evergreen because that is how I came to describe myself in a group meditation many years ago. Now, the street I live on is called Evergreen.

I am Sunmeadow Glades because my husband and I were looking for some land to build a home on. A lot of pieces of land were in sections with names like Hidden Valley. My Virgo hubby noticed these names and said that most of these places conjured up images in your mind of magical places. These places did not look magical at all and so he was raving on about names we could make up and Sunmeadow Glades was one of them. So, now it is my user name!!!

Cool Everyone!!!

Ladybug, I LOVE ladybugs. When my boyfriend buys me flowers he gets these wooden handcrafted ladybugs put in them. I have collected heaps of them and have them everywhere around the house I think they are beautiful!!!

Hi

Moonshadow from the song by Cat Stevens: " I'm being followed by a moonshadow" as well as the song moonlightshadow by Mike Oldfield. I am a cancerian afterall and my moon is in scorpio so saying that I am slightly obsessed with the moon is probably an understatement!

Pida'ua is American Indian for "To Make Glad". When I was a camp counselor, years ago, I was given that name because I am usually smiling or laughing or making others laugh with some of the things that I do.

Being a Sag and having long legs, I sometimes get ahead of myself and will trip, but I just keep on going. My friends found that to be a riot and wanted to find a name that would go with "Falls a lot", but decided on Pida'ua instead.

My best Leo friend gave me the nickname "Two Shoes" because, as he put it, I seem to glide on my two shoes like a thoroughbred horse. LOL.. until I trip that is.

Interesting topic

Great stories behind the names!!

As for my username: Twin - well, I'm a Gemini and Lady - the Italian meaning for my name, Donna

I'm part Italian, and I'd like to think I'm a Lady!

Well, my nic isn't all that complicated, but since I created it, I've kept it cause I love being refered to as "VAA"...the abreviation sort of makes me feel loved...it's informal, like LL is, since we are for the most part like family.
Anyways, the nic came from my sun sign Virgo, Aries rising, and the fact that I enjoy being classified, so to speak, as an artist, a sensitive being.
I've hada ton of fun learning about everyones' unique nicname stories, so keep the sharing going.....
Come on!

Taj,

You've got that right. Either I am tripping over my words, feet or any other object or I am trying to remove a foot from my mouth!!! LOL..Good thing I am lucky and seem to land fairly well!

Do you notice the same? Good thing Jupiter is there to provide protection and humor to deal with the mishaps!!

This thread is a crack up!

When I registered it was in August/September of last year and at that point in my life I had just underwent a harsh breakup.

I was feeling quite "lost" in life at that point in time so it just fit.

Fascinating, everyone...

I chose Lunargirl a long time ago, after I knew my chart was dominated by the Moon! Seems a bit moony for an Aries, but I like to think of it as an adventure or comicbook character name, too.

CatsandDogs, besides being a Beatles fan, I notice you're from a Wings album called "Venus and Mars"!

cheers!
