Just kidding! We don't have any pop-up ads. But for those who use Internet Explorer, they now use pop-ups, and if you visit Lindaland through IE, you might assume we do. Just wanted to assure you that we have never and never will have pop-up ads here. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." NEVER! I can't stand those things! It's a bad form of advertising as far as I'm concerned (very intrusive). Whenever I see one, I automatically click it off, no matter what they are advertising. No one likes them. That's why pop-up stopper software is selling like hotcakes. Mmmmmmm...hotcakes... ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." If we all switch to Netscape, maybe IE will get the picture. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Especially when you have a really slow connection; my speed @ home is abyssmal (I'm @ school now, connecting @ 10 Mbs - yes, that's Megabytes ) - but when I'm not here, it takes forever for the dern things to load (I think that they're assuming that everyone now has highspeed access or something). Grrr. I think that I just may switch to NetScape...PS - Do the hotcakes have chocolate chips or blueberries? Those are the best. IP: Logged |

At home I use Netscape 90% of the time, the only problem is that it doesn't view all websites properly. Of course, I may be due for an update, LOL!I can't stand pop ups either, and do not read any of them. Bleck! IP: Logged |

For any of you who hate pop-up ads as much as me, there is a FREE software program called "Pop-Up Stopper" by Panicware. Just do a search for "Pop-Up Stopper" or "Panicware" on Google.Much Love, Heidi IP: Logged |

What I use is AnalogX's POW! Whenever a popup occurs just add it to the "hit list" and poof! you'll never have to close them again. POW will close them for you. It's a good thing coz you get to see the popup first so you'll know if it's annoying or not.And it's only 200K. Really lean. http://www.analogx.com You may wanna check out his other utilities, too... they're all free and cool. Lately I've been using Opera and I really like it better than suxplorer and netscrap. for a 3.3mb download (10mb inluding java) you get: *deep breath* web browser, email client, instant messenger, popup killer, quick access to search engines, handy-dandy mouse and keyboard shortcuts (I REALLY love this feature. like, just hold down the right mouse button and drag up-down to refresh, or drag down-right to close, etc.), MDI interface, built-in skinning, etc. The list goes on. Really cool. IP: Logged |

Mac users: two more pop-up stoppers are the WebWasher utility, or by using the new Safari browser that's being bundled with the new System 10.2 (Jaguar) software. I'm sure you can find WebWasher through a search engine. Grrrrrrr pop-ups!!!!!!!!!! As if I would ever buy anything advertised by an annoying pop-up ad!!!!!!!! Lunargirl IP: Logged |

there's also program called Naviscope that in addition to providing some caching functions also blocks ads and popup windows.I'd also get hold of LavaSofts' Ad-Aware for cleaning pesky things like GAIN and tracking clients/cookies out of your temp. internet folder. IP: Logged |
