I'm:You are Idun! Goddess of youth and immortality. her name means "The Rejuvenating One". She is married to Bragi the bard and she is the keeper of the apples which keep the gods eternally young. Idun lives a simple life and is happy most of the time, but some times she wonders if people really appreciate her. Who are you?

I think I would have to be Brunhilde:Brunhilde by Dr Anthony E. Smith "A mighty female warrior, one of the Valkyries, and a heroine from the German epics, especially in the Nibelungen saga, in which she is a Icelandic princess. She defied Odin and in punishment he imprisoned her within a ring of fire on earth, decreeing that there she would remain until a brave hero rescued her. Siegfied (Sigurd) braved the fire, broke her charmed sleep, and fell in love with her. He gave her the ring, Andvarinaut, unaware of its curse. Eventually she kills herself when she learns that Sigurd had betrayed her with another woman (Gudrun), not knowing he had been bewitched into doing so by Grimhild." She sounds fiesty and a bit of a drama queen like me. Heidi IP: Logged |

Groovy. Thanks for tracking it down >d'oh< I'm a guy again: You are Balder! His name means "The Glorious". He was also called the "god of tears" and the "white as". Balder, the son of Odin and Frigg, was described as a very handsome and wise god. Some consider him to be a god of light since he was so bright, light shined from him. Balder's wife was Nanna and they had a son named Forseti. Balder and Nanna lived in Breidablik [The Broad-Gleaming], where nothing unclean could be and there were "fewest baneful runes". Balder is loved and respected by everyone, he believes in justice and what's right above everything else. IP: Logged |

Oh, there was a link? I thought we just had to use our infinite wisdom of Nordic mythology and guess. I suppose that's what happens at the end of a 12 hour shift. I'll try the quiz later. Heidi IP: Logged |

"Which Norse Mythology character are you?" - Results: You are Heimdal! Heimdal watches the rainbow bridge, Bifrost that connects the human world "Middle Earth" with the world of gods "Asgaard". He watches for the coming of the frost giants at the Ragnarok, at which time he will sound his horn Gjallar. He never sleeps, can see in the dark, and can hear sheep wool growing. His dwelling place is Himinbjorg [heavenly mountains]. Heimdal has an honorable job, but he's very lonely because he lives so far away from the other gods. He's single but a hopeless romantic and hopes that some day he'll find someone who will appreciate him. YUP! Sounds just like me!! She is the wife of Odin and highest in rank of the goddesses. She is called the mother of the Gods. Frigg is as wise as Odin but is more reserved and shy. She's very rational and people come to her for advice. I don`t think it fits at all hrj777, as you can see by my first post, my infinite wisdom of Nordic mythology is zip & I winged it Good ol merc rx Shammy!! juniperb IP: Logged |

This is what I got...not what I would have thought, but ok..You are Sif! Sif is the wife of Thor. Goddess of household and family ties. Her golden hair represents fields of grain. She is the Goddess of crops. Her hair was once cut off by Loki, and was replaced by hair of pure gold. Sif is dedicated to her husband and their two children. She's a very patient and loving woman. Her family means everything to her. She doesn't deal with war or political matters but spend most of her time looking out for others. IP: Logged |

You are Freya! Freya is the godess of love and fertility. Freya lives in the beautiful Folkvang [battlefield] and each day she chooses half of the slain warriors to split with Odin. She had a husband named Od, whom she somehow lost and cried golden tears for. Many believe Od is Odin. Freya's chariot is drawn by male cats and she owns the precious Brisings' necklace, which she slept with four dwarves to acquire. She also owns a feather coat which she could use to fly between the worlds. Freya is the most beautiful of all godesses in Valhalla, and she is not afraid to use her beauty and charm to get her way. She is also a loving and sensual person who believes in the good in people. She is known to be somewhat "easy" though, but she'd probably say that's part of being the godess of love.IP: Logged |
