Thank you juniperb! I love Mother's Day because it's the one day I have "off" and get to do whatever I want, with my girls pampering me. They brought me a delicious breakfast in bed, a huge, lovely potted Persian Violet plant, a beautiful card and "Mothers" plaque, plus some goodies from the 13 Moons site (a great online place to get metaphysical supplies). So today, my choice is to just "hang out" at home with my daughters. They're doing all the cooking and cleaning for the day and I'm just going to relax. Probably my fav holiday because I don't have to do any of the work, lol. I feel so blessed to have my girls. All you Moms out there, have a wonderful day! IP: Logged |

Not a mom, but I do have an amazing one! We're having a family-type gathering at my brother's mother-in-law's place. My brother and I bought a massage for our mom, since she doesn't pamper herself enough. IP: Logged |

Little Billy was awkward, clumsy, and very poor at sports. But his Mom told him constantly that he was a very special little boy who would do great things. Little Billy believed his mother; even when he was made fun of and felt like a failure, Billy would recall the words his mother told him. Today, Bill Gates credits everything he is to his mother. Here's to all the Mommies in the world! You have the Uni-verse's toughest job. Where would any of us be without our Moms? ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Blessed am I, with my terrific mom! I made some yummy stuff up: shrimp risotto with basil and spinach, roasted zucchini with lemon, artichoke dip, and key lime pie she liked it..she has been a great mom to me, Lord knows I've given her enough gray hairs *sigh*------------------ Namaste! Thanks Fajita! I'm actually way north, in Montreal, Canada, however - a little far. But I may plan a trip to sunny FLA when it gets cold again - my folks spend the winter in Clearwater, and sometimes I visit them - so you never know! The world is not as impossibly big as we may think.
