I was thinkin' about the little scar in the outer corner of my eyelid, and wondered, how many of us have one that's similar? They sort of look like someone took a miniature spoon and scooped out a hunk of skin, and the scars are usually round or elipitical.I remember years ago reading Whitley Striber's (not sure if I spelled his name correctly) _Communion_, about his personal experiences with alien abductions. He claims those little scars are a sign that we've been tampered with, experimented on. He does not paint a pretty, benevolent picture 'bout dem der aliens! Dunno what I think 'bout that...but, I see a lot of folks with those scars! Thoughts? Comments? Controversies? Anyone care to tell me what I'm full of? IP: Logged |

Or a secret government's implant experiments that they want to divert the blame on "aliens." In Behold A Pale Horse, it was uncovered that Striber is a CIA operative. Evidently, his mission is to make us believe in aliens and that they are hostile. Why would the government want us to believe this? ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." I have a little circular scar on just outside the corner of my eye, not on the lid but on the high ridge of my cheekbone. Chicken pox. Weird thing is that my son scratched himself with a stick accidently and now has a teeny tiny scar almost identical to mine. He hasn't had the chicken pox yet. ? U never know...mebbe the aliens planted the 'memory' of the stick and the pox in my brain after they abducted us...IP: Logged |

Quite simply sometimes the DNA in our skin doesnt replicate quite wellEvery day we're bombarded by cosmic rays from space, and while the earths' atmosphere filters a load of that out, some still gets through. As these collide with our DNA it screws it up and the cells replicate in a bad way - like a benign cancer. This is what causes sometimes variations in skin colour, moles and other little physical "quirks". It also causes melanoma and other nastier problems but most people fail to realise its an occupational hazard of being alive in a self-replicating cell based body. Im not an expert at biology but that theory seems to hang together for me. IP: Logged |

Ooo I just found the perfect test to match your query Trillian. The 'scar' reminded me of it. Have You Ever Been Abducted by an Alien? http://www.zenhex.com/tests/alien/ Mine came out 52% of it being possable. I was thinking of starting a new string with it;what do you think? juniperb IP: Logged |

Go for it juniperb! I'm gonna go take the test!Oh, I just put this out there hoping it would make for a lively discussion! Do I really believe aliens put those scars there? Most of me says Heck NO! LOL And of course, Steiber would say we believe those are pox scars because they planted that memory in us! I just thought it was a fun topic. So...Randall, Streiber is a CIA operative?? The author of some mediocre (IMO) horror novels/films is workin' for the C-EYE-A? Hope you don't mind that I find that funny! I mean, sure, why not? But doesn't that sound as plausible as aliens scooping out a little DNA from our eyelids? N_wEvil, interesting way of looking at it...though the uniformity of those scars and similarity of location is what makes them mysterious and compelling! How about you? Do you have one? How many here do have one? gonna go take juniperb's test! IP: Logged |

Sounds about as wacky, but supposedly there's evidence that he receives CIA paychecks, so... ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |
