If you've seen it, what did you think? If you haven't seen it yet, stick around until after the credits roll. There's a surprise that you don't want to miss! ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." I dinnae care what anyone else says, I loved it - it blew me to pieces and then away. And, yes, do stick around until the end. You'll have to sit through an...interesting...remix of Dave Matthews' "When the World Ends", but it's worth it.IP: Logged |

Hehe, Randall, we just went to the movies yesterday! I tought it sucked! They really made it a big selling movie and they did a bad job! They added a bit semi erotic scenes just like that without even building to it, a few bad jokes and some typical film music. I am sorry but we didn't like it! The first one is very cool but this one seems they just pasted pics on the screen, know what I mean? Where was the real intriguing story? It didn't make sense and there was no feeling in it. Plus, I couldn't handle the loud sounds of explosions, gunshooting etc..It made me wanna itch from the inside. I like the suit of Trinity though, the black latex one, it is very becoming and we like the names as well . But ofcourse this doesn't have anything to do with the film (well it has but you know what I mean). I haven't stuck around until the end so we have missed it . I was already wondering why some stayed on their seats. I just wanted to go away to a silent place. So Randall, how did you like it? IP: Logged |

I saw it and thought it was just O.K. The special effects were great but I have no idea what it was about and caught myself dozing a couple of times ... maybe it was watching Keanu Reeves trying to act that put me to sleep ... I think I would have to watch the first one and the 2nd one a few more times to figure out what was going on. I give it a 7 out of 10. Heidi IP: Logged |

Well, my Matrix-viewing experience began with the guy behind me farting. Not just a little puff either, but a long, drawn-out blast. But as for the movie...fun roller coaster ride! Not as good as the first, but still a lot of fun. The plot is indeed convoluted, but that's part of the enjoyment. That's why I like movies like "Memento," and "Mulholland Drive," they keep you thinking. It's a cool film, but does it value style over substance? Sort of, the acting is almost no-acting, the actors aim for a cool, nearly expressionless delivery, they seem nearly emotionless. Which is perfect for Keanu Reeves, who can't emote! But in the world of the Matrix, it all works. The special effects are fast and furious, but many of them do give one a sense of "been there done that," especially since the original was so ground-breaking and mimiced endlessly. The farter behind me and his friend must not have seen the first, they kept asking inane questions like "Oh, are they in their ships?" Uh, no, Zion is underground! All in all, I liked it...but, as far as rating it, I'd give it a C+ to a B. Shame on me...I didn't stay for the credits. Will someone enlighten me please??

trillian, Mulholland Dr & Memento rock! I love that "off" feeling these types of movies give you at the end. Matrix I, and thankfully Reloaded, did as well Matrix II was Grrrreeaat!! I was seriously worried that it would be just another action flick with no plot, but they reveal & develop a puzzle of a storyline... you gotta love it So many philosophical, religious, & spiritual truths are being asked & questioned it's fun to try to figure them out There was obvious Free Will vs. Determinism (Fate), anyone else see any real world metaphors? I liked it very much! There was definately more action than story, but I expected that. I think most people did not "get it", especially the last portion of the movie, beginning with the Architect. I think the twist alluded to at the end was brilliant! What happened after the credits? IP: Logged |

I was there on May 15, the 6:30 showing-- bought advance tickets --wouldn't have missed it for anything! Despite a few structural flaws, which I put down to editing choices, and the nearly overwhelming whopping amount of fight scenes, I thought The Matrix: Reloaded totally delivered what people wanted -- more of Neo's world. I think a lot of people wanted to see Neo and Trinity together, so voilą, and also see Zion, so voilą again -- and we knew the Agents/AIs would be fighting fiercely. And it was just as funny as the first -- a lot of quotable quotes in this one, too. Yep, I could have done with more scenes of the freaky twins, and less of that Zion rave scene, but I thought it was an excellent sequel to a nearly structurally perfect first movie -- so I'll definitely see it again at least one more time, if not more -- if only to see what happens after the credits!!! Yikes, we left too early!! Lunargirl

So Lost Leo...as another lover of Memento...was he faking?? It's been awhile since I viewed the film, and of course I've watched it several times, you have to! But I have an opinion on that, based on one tiny scene in particular... IP: Logged |

The film was well put together i thought, there were certain ambiguities i could pick out and some pretty awful compositing in a couple of places, but generally, yes - very good. The rave scene was.....interesting IP: Logged |

trillian,Hmmm, been awhile for me too... But what that movie left me with was... The whole movie this man is an altruistic hero with a distinct motive and goal in his shattered life... As the movie ends you find out that his motive is not "true" and his selfless hero quest for vindiction could be nothing more than a figment of his (or someone else's) imagination, making the whole story have no meaning and the plot... without purpose... So I think, that's what the director was going for: to Shock us, then pull the rug out from under the reasonable validity we gave to this man's quest... Leaving us nothing, but a shell of a character... that's crazy, and has no purpose or direction in the world...destroying all validity we gave him in the beginning of the movie... Our hero... radically transformed into an insane, psychotic, self-made hitman, with a false (imaginary, in every sense of the word) sense of the justice he's doing... just my two cents... What are your thoughts??? IP: Logged |

i loved it! there was pretty much not a single line of dialouge that wasn't thought-provoking. i loved the keymaker and the idea that yur intentions create yur reality (as in: insert key, ordain it, and so be it) and even more than that the final scenes where neo was given a choice... to repeat the pattern or choose love and the ultimate self-sacrifice? and for all the people that complain about the acting, i think it's perfect! i love their emotionlessness.... makes u realize just how close they are to being machines themselves, without the driving forces of love and the quest for freedom to keep them human. and i loved the final scene! the idea that it is ALL just a dream, including zion. i can't wait for neo to wake up amd realize that he can control ALL of his reality, including the architect. or maybe not.....IP: Logged |

My mom denied me permission to see it on the grounds it's rated R. As if blood, guts, and wildly orgasmic sex are new at all? [on screen, of course ] I'll find a way to see it somehow...------------------ Hello everybody! I took along my 13 1/2 year old niece to see the new Matrix...she'd already seen the first, and loved both. I didn't find anything inappropriate in either film...but I'm one who never really finds naked bodies inappropriate, LOL!Lost Leo, I don't think I was left feeling quite the same as you at the end of Memento. But like Lunargirl, I absolutely loved it... it was fascinating...part of the mystery is, did he kill his own wife? On the official site, whichI think was www.otnemem.com, though I can't really remember for sure, there were lots of great clues, including one that implied there was an escapee from a mental institution. There's also some really cool commentary in the reviews on salon.com. But, one tiny little thing I noticed in the film that made me think he was faking the memory problem was a scene with Carrie Anne Moss. He sits on her sofa and picks up his file, with complete recognition. If it were truly impossible for him to forge new memories, he would rediscover that file every time, it would be brand new, and he would never make it through with comprehension. His new memory span is only a few seconds. Lunargirl, did you love Mulholland Drive, too? IP: Logged |

Nooo.... missed Mulholland Drive, and now... I must... see.. it... (Lunargirl in rental zombie mode). The clothing and glasses in Matrix:Reloaded were fabulous. I thougth it was great that they allowed the characters to grow a little hair in their reality scenes, to show a time progression from the end of the first movie (where the reality Neo had no hair). I wonder if Neo will wake up to the fact that he doesn't have to play by their binary-thinking ways... hmmm. Lunargirl IP: Logged |
