In Star Notes #4, Linda expressed a desire to hire someone to dress up like a deer and drive around town with a bloodied dummy on the hood of their car during hunting season. I thought Linda would be most pleased to read this little blurb I found in a magazine a few years ago (I posted it on my site as well I thought it was so neat).***
Turning the Tables
During deer season in western Pennsylvania, the woods are alive with hunters. It seems like every other car has a dead animal roped to the roof. I have a buddy who, on opening day, drives his car around wearing a deer-head costume, and roped to the roof, he has a mannequin clothed in orange camouflage.
Most passing motorists see the humor and honk their approval. Occasionally, a redneck gets bent out of shape and gives chase. So far, my friend's been able to outrun them before they've been able to squeeze off their displeasure.
