I have a box elder bug in my bathroom. I was surprised we only got a few lady bugs and box elders this year. IP: Logged |

What is a box elder? I have several ladybugs now. They cluster together and sleep (I presume) a lot. IP: Logged |

Almost Valentine's Day... Why do birds suddenly appear any time you are near?.... They want to be (music) Close to You (The Carpenters) [3:42] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcEKPAKuvgU There were birds in the sky, but I never saw them winging... no I never saw them at all (music) Till There Was You (Shirley Jones, from The Music Man) [3:55] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQuI3lKv_ak IP: Logged |

Saw another one today. In the rain. Suppose it might be the sterling quality of my magnetic personality that draws them; Mirage, but I'm pretty much betting on the Winter Blooming Camellias with the pink-petal carpet halo as a primary. Nice way to soften the morning woodcarry.

Birds are all over the place here. They peck the ground early in the morning to get worms. The early bird really does get the worm! IP: Logged |

When it rains, I mean. Rain brings the worms to the surface.IP: Logged |

You mean how the seagull stomps the ground with its feet to make the worm think it's raining so they will come out?IP: Logged |

Oh. I just re-read your post. When it actually rains, yes. Unless you're a seagull. Then all you need is feet.IP: Logged |
