But you contribute alot more over there than you do here. I've yet to see you join in on another thread in here. It's allowed, you know. You can partake in any thread at all, not just the ones that you start yourself.
I really meant it when I said I was interested to hear your spin on the different things we're kicking around in the Astro forum.

Of course, if you don't wanna, you don't wanna. I understand that too. You Scorps aren't exactly known for sharing your innermost thoughts anyway. (which is all the more reason why YOU should )

I spent some time with my brother and the rest of the family yesterday,since it was a holiday,my brother and I went over his friends house to light off fireworks. Ya how us Americans are, when we're sad, we like to blow-up things!

You know, in spite of how you guys rip on your president, and the majority of you are politically cynical, you're still the genuinely proudest patriots in the free world. You guys are a kick-ass country, and you're still the universal track star!
It's like that star kid in high school that was good at EVERYTHING, AND goodlooking, AND cool, AND popular, AND from a wealthy familiy. That's how the U.S. is perceived by the rest of the world.
And we Canadians are like your dorky little brother.
People expect alot more from us, but we just don't have what it takes...ie, the population and Ching ching $., to be like you. So, we have to be happy to be the nerdy nice kid, with the famous big brother. Know what I'm saying??

Funny!
That's always kinda the way that I saw it:
Canada, the US, and Ozland are all siblings -
Canada - the "Good One": didn't rebel too much from dear ole' Mum (the Brits), generally an all-around good natured, nice guy.
Australia - Kinda rough around the edges, but still a good kid. Into extreme sports; watches the back of his bros.
the US - Well, lioneye said it, though I didn't want to go into all that for modesty's sake, though a kid w/ a bout of teenage rebellion (kicked and screamed to get away from the rents). Still, we are a Cancer...have you ever noticed how much we really look to the UK for approval?

I've been just sooo stinkin busy at work, plus, I have out of town guests at my house right now, so I can't log on much at night eithor. But I missed ya'all so much too, so I'm here, when I really should be focussing on getting rid of the paper explosion on my desk. Yeah, Canada's the baby of the family too, who tends to be the timid one, and somewhat Mollycoddled too. Heck, we still get the monarchy's 'Official Address of the Commonwealth States' visit every 4 years. The queen comes and reads a speech about the direction she would like to see Canada go, in various areas. It's just like mom coming to our dorm and saying..."Now, separate your whites from your darks, see your dentist for a check up, stop eating so damn much junk food, and call me once a week or else" (and we do)
She doesn't do that to YOU guys, though. Oh, no. You're quite capeable of looking after yourselves, but we, apparently...are not.
The family metaphor really fits here!

By the way, we didn't like seeing that sh*t happen to you on Sept 11. It tramatized us to see our big brother take a beating like that. We too experienced a loss of innocence from that ordeal.

No, I didn't, but I know that from my past experiances,that I would have something and all of a sudden,BOOM,I would lose everything! I don't want that to happen to me again,EVER! The thing is that...I never had what you would call a tight family per-say and when I needed help it wasn't like some where never around,but most would not help me,the ones that wanted to,couldn't,so I ended up on the streets,in homeless shelters with all kinds of scum,had my stuff stolen in those shelters,followed crappy rules,been looked down for my homelessness and eventually ended up doing hard drugs and ******* all my money away from THAT. Now, I'm not going threw any of that and
I DON'T ever want to go back, I've been clean for over a year now,it's not easy to contain oneself in that kind of world, it's like one counseler said once to me" I seen men and women that have never touched a drug in they're lives that first walked in here,come back out completely addicted on something! Some have come out in a BODYBAG!" God took me out of that and now I'm trying to stay out of it! I've seen that world Lioneye and it's a very ugly one,so yes,I'm very worried for what will happen to me,because in that world,it's not PARTYING,living is dying!
