Two years ago I took in two llamas who needed a lot of help, mom and daughter. Finally, after two years, their health is excellent and they have been acclimated to two legged love and companionship . My ego and heart wants to keep them, but it`s time for them to have a new loving home with caretakers that will devote their full time, attention and love to them. I`m sad to see them go and glad to have found a wonderful couple who have passed the six month rigors of the adoption process. Next week, I must part with my beautiful Reina Linda and Buried Treasure I will still see them monthly for one year, but it will leave a hole in my heart . Love and blessing to the new caretakers, Reina and Treasure. juniperb IP: Logged |

Parenting involves letting go... the hole in your heart may hurt, but the love that created it is still there, making your big heart even bigger... if that makes sense. Blessings and Light to you, juniperb -- your work is filling the world with more love, and that's hole-y work (holy!!). Lunargirl IP: Logged |

And SunShyne, I admire your _give_ on things, too! Sometimes I just can't believe how many kind, wise and interesting people frequent Lindaland. It's great to be here. Lunargirl IP: Logged |

Juniperb,If only there were more people in the world like you ... I have thought about being a foster Mom for kitties through a local rescue organization but I know I would never be able to part with them. I admire your courage. Heidi IP: Logged |

The girls loaded up and went to their new home last night . Treasure cushed (folded her legs under her like a camel) and refused to leave the gate. So, I sat beside her & we talked it out . I`ve been reading Gooberz to them at night (the only way to read it & feel productive at the same time ) With poor memory, I adlibed chapter two (bungled the canto up too ), but she didn`t seem to mind & eventually got up & loaded. Their new home is fantastic and will receive much love and care there. I am saddened, yet I k-now it`s the cycle I choose; to return healthy and happy four leggeds back into a productive and nuturing home. juniperb IP: Logged |
