Just wanted to say thank you for all the little changes I'm noticing on the board -- the re-enabled Search function, a new more visible icon for Linda's Numerology Alphabet, etc etc.

ooh changes? cool

any chance you might install some hacks? some are soooo useful, like the one where there are easy buttons that the ubb will do links etc for you. thats a nice hack. you just hit the button that says 'url' or whatever, and a small window pops up, and you insert the url. it does all the work for you. i like the private message option too. saves all the running around asking for emails etc lol.

just curious! i know there are tons of nice things for ubb. was gonna ask you but kept forgetting. i dont know what your time is like though, maybe you dont have time to do stuff like that.

My screen froze and I pressed Ctrl and Alt and all of a sudden my letters were bigger and everything was bigger. Is that your doing Randall? I don't know the computer term for this alteration.

well, i know that you can just type a link, but that hack does other things like properly posts images (among other things), without one having to know ubb code. the private message option is lovely too, cause then people dont have to give out any of their info on the board if they dont want to, and you can block private messages from people you dont want to recieve them from.

it was just a suggestion, there are some really nice features for ubb out there. even if you upgraded to version 6 rather than 5.4x, but i dont know if it costs or if the upgrades free. i think its free, but i couldnt say for sure.

silver, it was probably just a computer 'fart'. i wouldnt worry about it, and it wouldnt have anything to do with this place. if you were about to cntl alt del it probably unfroze the system but your video card goofed and displayed at a lower resolution. it happens, and a reboot is all that is needed.

If we upgraded, all of our current smilies in past Posts (they are a hack) would be broken images.

hmm. they shouldnt be. i dont know all the ins and outs of ubb, my techy friend did most of it, but it shouldnt kill them all. some hacks are a pain in the butt though, to be sure. we had lots of trial and error. but, as long as all the urls to the smilies were not broken, id think they would still work, but as i say, i dunno. they have a ubb forum where you can ask those sorts of questions, but im sure you know about that. tee hee. ill stop being obnoxious now :P i just really love the hacks and things that are available. they are sooo useful.
