Well, one of the last giant hacks was the Montreal teenager who called himself "Mafiaboy" -- and he was caught. If this was the work of a malicious hacker, of whatever citizenship, no matter the age, I hope s/he is caught soon. Many people suffered needlessly during that outage, although it did also serve as a great wake-up call to both Canada and the US regarding how fragile their grid system really is.

I was almost positive it was a hacker when it happened...

I don't understand why. I just thought it was.

Plus.. it was super-wide spread. It'd explain it better that the security measures were 'shut down' than a 'domino effect' would.
