Dearest Trillan and T.C. Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together......." (~Anonymous) Love and Lite to you juniperb IP: Logged |

I'm so sorry to hear this Trillian. May you find comfort in knowing you did all you could to help your precious T.C., that he knew how much you love him...and he's happy and healthy now. This helped me when I lost my kitty last year: http://www.rainbowbridge.com/ Please take care.

When the physical body fails... dear trillian, I send you a {{{{ hug }}} because words don't 'work' when we're sad about losing a great friend.Animals who are pets have a special purpose -- it is to serve us, and to help share and teach us love. We serve and love them in return. My very deepest condolences on your loss -- it's the measure of the miracle of love, that T.C.'s passing is so sorrowful, and that your friends here are so moved and sorry too. His life had purpose and I'm sure your care brought him great joy always. Good gourd, I'm crying now too! {{{{ hug }}} Lunargirl IP: Logged |

Your kind and gentle thoughts have been a great comfort for me and I love you all very much. I wish I had more than words to thank you, to let you know how deeply you've touched me.He was a tough Aries boy with lots of fiesty 'tude and I'll miss him greatly, but in my heart I know that he lives on and I will see him again one day. I have two other furry little babies that miss him too, but we'll be fine. We're just a little sad. I'm not ready to visit the rainbow bridge site just yet-too teary!- but I will one day soon. Again, many many thanks and blessings for your compassion. The universe has great rewards for beautiful souls like yours. Sometime this weekend I'll post a pic of him in the LL gallery. IP: Logged |

I know I'm kind of late on this one Trillian ... I just found this thread. You have been so supportive of me and Spanky this year with all his problems ... I am so sorry I wasn't there for you. I hope you are recovering from the loss of your friend. He was very lucky to have a mom like you. I wish I could think of something to say that would make you feel better, but right now I'm crying so much from reading this thread that I can't think straight so ... {{{{{{{{{{{HUG}}}}}}}}}}}} Heidi How are you feeling now? Ahhhh Trillian --Just found this too -- I so sorry. Made me think of my little "kitty boy" and how much i love his "lil silly self." Loss of our animal friends is so traumatic. Just this past April, I had to put down my sweetie lil Girl who had been with me since birth and was 18 years old. I know having other pets help, but when u notice that they missing "someone" too -- well. Wishing u a "speedy" recovery, tho i know u will always think of him. IP: Logged |

Heidi No worries, thank you for sending me such caring sentiments. The girl kitties and I are doing just fine. We still miss him, but...I feel sometimes he is near. Last week, while lying in bed in the morning, I felt a cat jump on the bottom of the bed and start to walk towards me. I moved to pet the cat...and there was no cat there. Another morning as I woke I felt a cat in the crook of my leg, when I went to pet it...no cat there! And just a couple of nights ago as I sat at my computer, I looked over to the love seat and saw a streak of gray 'run' across it. Both of my cats were in the other room. So, I feel like T.C. stops in now and then. He was a special, special guy. But thank you so much for asking. Niki, I'm sorry about the loss of your life long companion. It's one of the hardest pains of life...I hope you are healing. Once again, I would like to extend many thanks and blessings for all the wonderful spirits here in LL, who sent T.C. healing and light and love. You can't begin to know how much it meant to me. Those were some very dark, sad days and your warmth meant so much, it touched me deeply, and continues to help me heal. You know, I'm such a tough b*tch of an Aries woman, but that sort of thing reduces me to....well, you know. Sending much happiness to you all... IP: Logged |
