In 1968, when i was 17, my Mother took she and i to state capital to a person who practiced Personology.

I still have the "chart" that was done for me and was reminded of it when Linda spoke of deep set eyes and lobes.

I was almost disappointed she didn't go into more detail with other traits.

I believe the "face reading" she was speaking of and Personology are one and the same -- any comments? Every heard of Personology?

I saw a show about it on TLC. It was the Chinese who pioneered it. I found it incredibly fascinating, but the only characteristics I remember are.... a womam with a birth mark or mole on her nose is capeable of murdering her husband, and... a man with large earlobes is destined to be wealthy. (kind of gender specific, but I suppose the logic could apply to either sex)

I agree face reading is fascinating. I don't know very much about it but I saw a programme on TV a while ago. The guy (can't remember his name) was incredible in his "face interpretations".

Two things I remember he said.....
People with small ears are usually not very intellegent.....

People who's nostrils look back at you (ie: push the tip of your nose up and you'll see what he meant) are usually mean (with money)

PS: I know a couple of people with those traits and the interpretation is "spot on" that's why it's stuck in my mind.

Hmmm

Well, the things u ladies have mentioned are not at all what I know of in relation to Personology -- The upturned nose means being gullible as far as this study goes. Intelligence was indicated through how high the forehead was, also the slant, if there was one. Don't remember what the lobes meant anyway -- lol

I took out a book on Chinese Face Reading after high school, and I remember these things, that I have since observed to be right on:

1. An upper lip that is significantly thinner than the lower lip indicates stubbornness
2. An eye that shows part of the cornea below the iris is often a mark of an artistic person (although not the only indicator)
3. A forehead that slants back is the sign of an adventurous personality

That was the guy on the TV's interpretation. I only remember it as at the time there was a man whose behaviour was and I noticed he had verrrryyy small ears so I thought yep that's gotta be true cos he is stupid
I haven't checked out other people's ears

Hi,

Cat, can you find anything on Handwriting ...?

I saw some-thing once on tv about personality and handwriting..
But I have been unable to find the
"code key"

The guy said if your handwriting shows a slant to right or left... that mean one thing. And if you have a "slash style" you are prone to be a cruel person.

I know that this is off the face subject, but it would be useful too.

Help if you can??

I saw a program on face reading years ago but can't remember enything else so thanks Cat for the links.

I have also seen a program on another way to "read" the face. Instead of seeing personality they read the health of the person my watching the face. Something about darker areas and what not.

How about these lovely ears!? I luv seeing Spock go!

I still gotta check out those links posted in here but wanted to come in and mention a teacher/colleague at school told me something about the eyes being the influence of both parents. The right eye being the fathers influence and the left being the mothers. If you look closely you can see the difference clearly. Some have a happy and sunny left eye and their right for instance looks mean. Interesting!
Handwriting analyses is also very striking!

Well Mr Spock had big ears and was "in therory" verrrrrrrry intellegent/analytical

Ooo now that is interesting re the eyes....I have one eye that is short sighted and one that is long sighted....can't remember which one is which.
